Snow in Shrewsbury! Incredible After hours of hail, sleet, rain it's snowing heavy and sticking!!

Probably a last update on this spell from me now the end is in sight A slow start compared to most Friday was decent but again others did better Sunday finally saw it become our turn! although we saw a thaw by Sunday night I had and extra 6/7 cm's on top of Friday's giving 10/12 cm. We never get that in Shrewsbury!! Highest drift in garden at 1 foot A lovely surprise snowfall last night adding another 2/3 cm!! What's been annoying has been the thaw that's taken place on a few days during the height of the day I'd say the highest level depth I could find in my garden now would be 12-15 cm so happy! We always seem to cope really well with the snow here, main roads always fine, estate roads are now clear, all pavements have maybe 1cm, some still untouched have alot more Biggest dissapointment is lack of cold! I'll never forget the 2 foot icycles of Dec 2010. Don't think we've got below -3 this cold spell :/ That will probably change tonight or tomorrow though! A very respectable snowy spell but not at 09/10/11 levels

Yeah another 2-4cm in Shrewsbury All main roads completely fine, cars easily removing any lying snow as its so wet

The 12z NAE says the SW and Welsh borders are going to get a pounding from snow tomorrow!! All of the West Mids would see some snow However it's only one chart My advice is look at the Met O forecasts. Ignore the graphics on the BBC forecasts

MetO say light snow till 9am :D Gotta be honest looking at radar's it ain't gonna happen! May be wrong

At 1pm I thought here we go again, same old story How wrong! As you say a good 10/12 cm maybe 15 in the odd spots with snow from Friday. Great day

Well I can't complain Friday was a once a winter event for here. Today has topped it up to an event every 3/4 years, though they are becoming more common than my childhood in the 90's 00's Alex Deakin really didn't want to mention Tuesday yet... Could be mad again! Seems to be every other day atm

I'm inclined to just go with the Met O They forecast today since Friday They over-egged Saturday and Friday didn't quite hit here as bad as others but was still decent Atm they've say NO to Tuesday, yesterday it was YES By the afternoon tomorrow I'll believe what they say

Had a base of 2 inch max on grass before today, now at 5/6 inches

Great to see people recording 15cm + I'm well happy with the 10/12 cm, most of which has fallen today since 4pm

Still snowing! Finally easing, is it about to end after 12 hours??? Since 4pm the roads have a good 2/3 cm on them The grass, with a little help from Friday must have 10/12 cm easy, maybe pushing 15cm in a few spots That's alot for here, and most places!! Depths have other folk got?

It's amazing the differences across the region, hasn't stopped since 9, only started sticking properly after 3! Had it stuck all day I can only imagine the amounts!!!
