Moderate/heavy snow in the West Mids being reported, white over back roads and all paths again in Shrewsbury
What's it like in the east mids and expected to develop in to?
Moderate snow in Shrewsbury, quite windy too, white over all untreated roads again!!
Forecast for today has been looking epic for days, despite bbc forecasts saying otherwise
Okayyyy...
The Met Office are forecasting me snow from 9am till 9am tomorrow with 9 hours heavy snow this afternoon for good measure...
Is this actually gonna happen!?!?
Why are the Met Office forecasting a whole day of light snow for Shrewsbury?
Where is this coming from? I can't read the charts haha, thanks for any help
Met Office are forecasting snow for Shrewsbury from 6am tomorrow till 9am Monday!!??
But what are the charts suggesting??
Also Tuesday snow from 9am all day with heavy stuff in the afternoon
Why are the Met Office forecasting this? Any help is appreciated
Paths and back roads are treacherous due to slush!
Snow cover on grass about 4 cm I'd say but it's not exactly sticking around everywhere like Dec 10
Bitter outside, wind is bone chilling
On Thursday we were forecast light snow all day. I guess the MO were just covering all possibilities
Potential for Sunday in to Monday?
What about Tuesday in to Wednesday?
Definately a thaw here, even untreated roads are clearing with the aid of vehicles obviously
I had massive icicles Dec 2010, under clear blue skies and freezing cold
This isn't close for me yet, but with more snowfall potential it could past it snow wise
I'm not sure anything will be as cold as Dec 2010 for a very long time. -14 here one morning that is immense
Had moderate snow for half hour now and light/v light since 6 o'clock, probably added 1 or 2 cm but it's now as heavy as its been since 1pm
Didn't expect this! Expected more in the afternoon and nothing now... It's been the opposite!
Forecasting this really does seem impossible
On Wednesday we were forecast 24-30 hours of snow
I got really excited, in the end we saw 7am - 1pm so 6 hours... What changed!?
Must add still a respectable snow event here but nothing out of an ordinary winter really
How much you got in Telford? About 3-6cm in Shrewsbury
Everywhere else reporting 10-20cm yet somehow, so far, we've yet again been dealt a dud compared to others. As I said before, I see an event like this every other year here
Some of you are really lucky/unlucky on how you look at it
5cm in Shrewsbury on average I'd say. Drifts in a few places towards 1ft
Stopped at 1.30 and hasn't re-started
Standard snow event here really, usually one of these every other year
We always do worse than everywhere else in the midlands, even in a favourable set up!
Magic
