  2. Wow this wind is near on gale force today its constant and its a menace as its not a warm wind!!!!! Its chilly in the shade . Golfing tomorrow will be interesting. Shorts and a long sleeve top and sunglasses
  3. Just back from Shorne Woods near gravesend. Kids out playing. Laying in the sun for the adults gentle breeze glorious blue sky and set fair for the weekend. Happy happy days. Happy Easter weekend to all of my southeastern clan. Let there be heat and plumes as I am having a late summer holiday in Turkey this year. So I have the whole UK summer to enjoy .
  4. Found my new addiction watch bi jet tv. The a380 took three attempts to land
  5. Decided I am posting in here today much nicer . Defo strongest winds of the morning here in Welling
  6. Come on guys stop bashing the met seriously. We asked for a red warning we got a red warning for London and southeast. They weren't going to issue it any earlier until their super computer that we don't see or have access to as mere mortals conformed it. Think about the beeb. They also take the word from meteo group not the met office so their updates will be out of date till about 7. Its all over the news. Has been for about an hour on the live page on the app.
  7. Lassie we have seen stuff turn into damp squib before I realise but this seems different
  8. Agree however we have a sustained wind speed of 34 mph over a four hour period with gusts upwards of 70+ mph.
  9. I have come back in here the tosh that is being spouted in the storm thread is ridiculous! Xc weather and met both have ne down for 74mph and that is strong very strong.
  10. Thats utterly ridiculous sorry. A lot of schools are not on half term in the east and southeast. 60-70mph winds is not nice at anytime. Especially in Central London. Me in Welling still qt 74 my on xc weather and 71 on met office app
  11. Agreed calm on the warnings are requires here. I think it was earlier in the thread that I posted that this is one move from an Amber. Warnings will be updated around 10.30 and we will go Broad Amber.
  12. Mine has gone up by 4 miles an hour over night on met office. XC weather gone up overnight from 71 to 77mph gusts. Eek I am in South East London. The Dartford bridge will be shut early on Friday
  13. Yup wall blew down near me in about 45mph winds 2 years ago.
  14. Erm try the burns day storm... try it being in the daytime and numerous other factors. Central London hit by 75mph gusts even 70mph gusts will be dangerous. The track and the depth have hardly changed in last 24 hours. As was said above we are t72 hours. On the scale of warnings. I don't remember one that has fallen into the yellow category that one movement will be into Amber. Over doing it I don't think so. My mum lives on a hill 750 ft up so I am watching it closely
