  1. Don't know much about it, but there is a CFS chart from today posted in the MT showing -8 uppers on the 23rd April. That's ridiculous ( not to mention beyond any realms of FI).
  2. Yeh it's looking very interesting. Love that long term forecast LS dug out. I'm sure for most away from the coast will see the goods with the predicted set up but us coasters need nearer -10 uppers with that east wind. Still, that possibility appears to be on the table.
  3. Unfortunately the precip never got too heavy here but glad to see quite a few have snow. Some fantastic large flake snow being shown and reported. Going by the latest forecasts, good prospects coming up. Here are the lates warnings. Going by the charts, I would imagine Wednesday could see some snow. Issued at - 16 Mar 2013, 11:32 Valid from - 18 Mar 2013, 00:05 Valid to - 18 Mar 2013, 23:59 Outbreaks of rain or sleet are expected to start to turn to snow on higher level roads above 300 metres in eastern and northeastern Scotland early on Monday. Later on Monday this rain or sleet will turn increasingly to snow at lower levels. The public should be aware of the risk of disruption to transport through this period. Issued at - 16 Mar 2013, 11:37 Valid from - 19 Mar 2013, 00:05 Valid to - 19 Mar 2013, 23:59 Snow showers are expected to continue to affect parts of eastern and northeastern Scotland, as well as higher ground in northeastern England. Meanwhile, at lower levels in northeastern England showers will tend to turn increasingly to snow through the course of Tuesday. The public should be aware of the risk of disruption to transport through this period.
  4. What altitude are you and I assume not close to the coast ? Very interesting period coming up. Got laugh when you think in late January, the MT was full of cry.s of "winters over". Snow on and off since October in Kilt land
  5. Some very wintry runs this morning. ECM......wow Rain moving in very quickly on the radar. Gonna be a wet morning and probably snowy in the hills. Great for Glenshee
  6. Yeh I saw that and thought the same. Probaly quite time consuming and selfishly would possibly interfere with his kilted forecasts. BUS, I'm doing this from my phone and its possible I just reported you by mistake pressing the wrong tab trying to reply. So appoligies if I did ???? Wonder what happens if you get reported?
  7. Good stuff. Are you at elevation and outside town ?
  8. It was a great fun weekend. Glad most people got something. Thoughts where are likely to go from here, LS, BUS, Lorenzo or others that have offerings. Still some cold options on the table by the looks of things
  9. BUS, if that came off, we would still be skiing in July !!! Works for me
  10. Orange sky to my east. I think there are more echoes into the right side of the radar shot in the North Sea aswell.
  11. All dripping is over. Icicles have now replaced. Again, long time since we seen them. Snow is drifting around again. Wind seems to have increased.
  12. Snow cover quite quickly melting as sun been out for a while. Still good cover on grass. Seems to be quite a bit of showery activity in the North Sea though. Have we changed air masses at all possibly? Earlier today was hazy between the showers with definition to the shower clouds. Now, it seems clearer with obvious towering shower clouds around.
  13. Best shower of the day. Wind seems to have picked up. Extremely heavy snow. Can't even see the tops of the blades of grass now. Not seen this for a while.
  14. Latest update. Specifically mentions East Scotland so I guess likely the showers wil persist tonight. Thoughts on this LS ? Valid from - 10 Mar 2013, 16:00 Valid to - 11 Mar 2013, 10:00 Snow showers will affect many eastern parts of the UK during Sunday evening and overnight into Monday, the showers moving well inland on strong northeasterly winds. Accumulations of snow will be very variable, as the showers are expected to become aligned into bands, with some places seeing 2-5 cm of snow and possibly as much as 10 cm in a few places in eastern Scotland and northeast England by Monday morning. Lying snow will drift in the fresh to strong north-easterly winds. Ice will be an additional hazard, particularly in Scotland and northeast England where there has been melting between showers during Sunday. The public should be aware of the risk of disruption to travel.
  15. New warning Issued at - 10 Mar 2013, 09:42 Valid from - 10 Mar 2013, 10:05 Valid to - 10 Mar 2013, 15:59 Snow showers will continue to affect many parts of northern and eastern Scotland and northeast England giving a covering of snow, even at low levels. Showers will become prolonged in a few places resulting in localised accumulations of 2 to 5 cm, especially higher ground inland. The public should be aware of possible travel disruption.
  16. WOW. Excellent news. These events are nearly non exist ant for your corner of Fife. Hope you get pasted. I see SM dropped in and suggested some very exciting totals.
  17. Heavy dusty snow. Not melting. The snow making machine is revving up now in the North Sea.
  18. I think it's possible a large area is get pasted. The band is huge
  19. The band to our east is intensifying. Could get quite interesting.
  20. Anyone else think that the band offshore is starting to take a more easterly track than earlier ? Nice when you get little plooms of drifting snow in your street. Has to be very powdery for that.
  21. Heavy blowing snow. All surfaces white. Best looking snow we have had this season by a long way. A couple if cms already.
  22. I haven't done it but probably hyperlinks I would think. I know what you mean.Need to be on a PC. I'm on a tablet just now but I think you right click on the site you wish to link, there should be an option to Hyperlink. Then insert where required
  23. That line of precip developing there to the north is exactly as projected by NAE 5 posts to 1000.
