    Brill Windmill

Brill Windmill was probably erected sometime in the 1680s, it is one of the best preserved of the dozen or so 17th century 'post-mills' still standing.
  2. Well here is my offering for today.... This is Brill windmill which is one of the most ancient and valuable post mills in the country, a couple of tourists there who were on bikes seemed to think they were at the location of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang film windmill but that is Cobstone Mill at Ibstone ..I didn't bother to tell them they were about 20 miles out! It was lovely to spend the afternoon in the countryside after a morning helping to boost the economy in a busy shopping village... I even saw a couple of birds on the way back GTLTW ....any nearer and they would have been going in the slow cooker !
  3. I will not be taking charge of anything that evening ......anyway we have one amongst us who is far better qualified at counting beans than I

  6. Oh I'm always a glass half full girl (usually because I've drank the first half ) I'm going out this morning I don't think there will be much to see on the A421 but if time allows I will come back the pretty way, Harvey will get muddy but as a bird has kindly covered him in a rather large present this morning he needs a bath anyway !
