cannot believe there are no weather warnings....a lot of people who work in cwmbran are from the valleys...theyre going to have some fun getting home tonight....thisll be on the news again !! like the snow we had the other night the never forecast im from Cwmbran SE Wales

just watched the bbc forecast on news 24 and theres no mention of snow here maybe a little in north wales tonight.. im sorry bbc its belting down here and the roads that have been gritted are getting well covered already...temp now 0.4C these showers are really hefty and theyre obviously bringing the temps down when arriving..... just in case i havent mentioned it...its snowing thick here and sticking well

cwmbran is about 5 miles east of newport and we're slightly higher here in upper cwmbran...my missus works in town and she tells me its snowing in the town centre on low level too...bout half inch snow now

0.9c here and started snowing again. nothing sleety yet...no mix...all snow and flurrying down..gone pretty dark considering time of day as well oh well fingers crossed stuill for lengthy snow spell we can't get much in the way of snow anyway, there's not one weather warning out for anywhere so its got to turn to rain...hasnt it ?

cwmbran is 200m asl and im further up the mountain.... the snow stopped now....perhaps a taster the precip not far away according to radar...lets hope it starts again as snow and not rain or sleet will jkeep you informed

started to come down more now...will keep you posted....temp now 0.8c the mountain behind now out of sight.....interesting weather......temp only reached 1.3c earlier.... no doubt will to turn rain soon...oh well we'll enjoy it while it lasts

Hi everyone ( I'm a noobie to the forum ) I live in Cwmbran which is quite far east and also halfway up the mountain The temperature here has been -3.7 overnight and is currently at -1.6...warming up ! Lots of snow about, ice packed roads ( off the major routes ). Been wishing for this precipitation this afternoon to be snow but the BBC seem to be saying it's going to give mostly rain.... Apparently the temperature will warm up to around 6C later but I guess it will probably start to fall as rain even though the temp will be around 2c and then climb through time to approx 6C The temps on the ground are very cold but the temps further up into our sky are warmer and thats why we're going to get rain .... I''ve still got my fingers crossed for snow living quite high up we might get a bit ! Next week looks amazing, there's some dream wintyer scenarios knocing about at the moment, in fact the weather seems hard to believe....are we really going to have massive snowstorms etc ? who knows....I for one will be keeping a close eye on things here especially now I'm off work for the Christmas break. As we speak the temp has now climbed to -1.3C Hope you all get what you want for Christmas including the presents !! BW
