  1. Oooh, sorry to anyone I offended ( feel like I started this off!), sorry, I was merely pointing out that Nick's signature did not have correct punctuation, which was quite ironic as the said quote was about grammar, spelling and punctuation. Personally, as frustrating as it is to read, I know for a fact that it is damn frustrating for those writing who have difficulties with spelling. As I said, my hubby is dyslexic, and my son has serious writing and spelling difficulties (writing and spelling ability of 5 yr old at age 9 ). Hope no-one feels alienated. My sincere aplogies. Anyway, back to the weather, and indeed a very grey and dull day here.... nothing of any interest to report.. unless of course you like grey cloud cover!
  2. lol , I agree they are very important too. Poor spelling is particularly irksome to me... perhaps I shouldn't have married a dyslexic! hahaha
  3. Completely OT, but Nick you need a full stop at the end of your signature quote.
  4. **Gets in car and dashes up A1 to Wansford** Just noticed as I was making a cuppa that its started falling as snow here & not a break in the cloud, fingers crossed it carries on falling (you watch it stop now Ive posted to say its snowing!) Its showing a little precip on meteox radar, if that radar is correct then it wont last long. I noticed Stamford had been getting a good smattering according to radar over last few days. Would be very suprised if anything settled here as the ground is so wet.
  5. Morning all, woke up to grey skys and slush on the ground, no snow seemingly fell on this side of Peterborough overnight, being blessed with Sleety drizzle here now.. skys are very dark though, but seemingly the temps are too high atm.
  6. lol TEITS, you are the lucky one, really light and sporadic here, certainly no settling at all..... doesnt look promising for that snow day for hubby tomorrow!! heheh Been on regular lampost watch but hasnt gotten any heavier at all Radar doesnt look to promising for rest of night either. Think I might drive over to PE4 tomorrow and nick some of their snow
  7. As I said earlier, according to Raintoday we should have been covered by now in Peterborough, but certainly on this side we havent seen anything all day, except for the VERY light shower falling now Slinky, which side are you?
  8. Still very very light here indeed, few flakes in the wind Think Im on the wrong side of Peterborough, need to move to TEITS side!! Lol
  9. Well it's only light here, verging on sleet to be honest but when £100 riding on it, any flake counts!! hahaha
  10. KERCHING!!!!!!!! No need to wait till midnight... Drinks all round
  11. According to raintoday I should be covered in the stuff!! hahaha But Im not, glad to see TEITS has got some!!! Think Im taking that bet quickly lol xxx
  12. Hubby just offered me £100 bets it not gonna snow before i go to bed...looking at the radar Im thinking something should fall here within the next hour -90 mins.... what do you guys think?? take the bet or politely decline?
  13. Been offline for a bit and now confuddled.... so can anyone clarify? Are we or are we not expecting snow overnight in the area?
  14. OMG!!! WE HAVE SNOW!! Definitely flakes falling from the sky...... not many admitedly but they are here

  18. Just to update whats happnening here, have had a massive thaw overnight, taken away all that I woke up to yesterday and more besides, think imby i may now be looking at 3 - 4 mm laying now in the thickest parts. Some grey ish cloud cover but no precip. Really thought last night was the biggy......
  19. Good God.. snow in St ives?? Ive heard it all now!!! lol hehehh
  20. lol, I thought I saw1 solitary flake. then realised it was one that had blown of my porch roof!! lol TEITS - Any good news for us poor snow starved desperados?
  21. Well it is now midnight here and I am still very fully dressed!! lol Guess we'll always have tomorrow! (Mods should rename our thread to be called "waiting for tomorrow"
  22. haha pmsl at METO Invent rainfall radar, http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/pws/invent/weathermap/ looking at the jump from 11pm to Midnight is actually comical!! from dry barren land to complete saturation by their forecast!! If we get snow at midnight I will run naked through it and post pictures!
