    Sorry to hear that Surrey You all sandbagged up? Do you have any drains/manholes etc yo uhave to block up to stop water coming out of them into your house? My parent's fences are going one by one now. They're trying to send me pics but keep having momentary power cuts and no Internet.

    A dead tree (we call the lightning tree) that has been in the field behind my parent's place in Wexford for god knows how long has blown down and gone across the field! Their power is going on and off atht moment too. Very nasty looking radar echos above Oxford right now!

    Had 32MPH at my sheltered weather station at home which is a record this year - higher than any recent storms. My parent's weather station in Wexford has hit 50MPH, but off the coast of Roaches Point it's 100MPH according to xcweather.co.uk! Just spoke to my parents who have just had their power back on and she's quite scared!

    My sheltered weather station is reading almost 30MPH at the moment (it's never gone over that!) so must be windy at home now. My dad's one (in Wexford, Ireland) is gusting up to 45MPH at the moment.

    morning all! Looks like this morning's rain is in Kent to my South. Wonder when it might reach here. Probably see a load of broken umbrellas about today which really pees me off-why do people think they can throw broken umbrellas just on the floor in the street?!

    Well there's some very bright spots on the radar over Wayels heading Eastwards... will they make it? Will they intensify?

    Probably no building on flood plains so not a bother...

    There's a strange horizontal line in the channel where the weather below is markedly worse than the weather above... I assume the netweather radar uses sources that might be outside of the UK and so could have different calibrations or is it actually a sharp weather front?

    All very quiet at home now. Chilly 5'C but no wind or rain. Nowt major on the radar coming my way either.

    Miserable weather and miserable journey into work. A body was found on the tracks at Brentwood station so we gave up trying to get to work and having a work from home day. Amazingly I've actually done some work too!

    Some have beans on toast for breakfast? Blue skies again after going dark grey for 10 mins... a little bit of rain but nothing special. Next one incoming within half hour!

    Nice and calm with blue skies here at the moment, was woken up around 6am by the wind and rain though - sounded awful out, but not quite enough for me to get out of bed to take a look with a mild hangover
