  1. There are a couple of lovely bright "squally" lines forming pointing North East... as it's all moving North East if you're under one of them it'll be over you for quite some time! They'll hit somewhere in KEnt, but might just miss Essex I've based these black direction arrows on the last hour's movement of the rain.
  2. Thanks everyone You seem to have spilt something on a napkin and scanned it in there, Surrey? Heavy rain here now :|
  3. Off topic post warning! Sorry just want to tell the world - just got the all OK for the 12 week scan. I'm gonna be a daddy
  4. morning all, doesn't seem too bad on the journey into the City. Is rain alarm working for anyone?
  5. Oh can't stay up to watch the weather - just remembered I need to be at work in the City by 8AM so g'night all, stay safe!
  6. There's no big "clampdown" really - a lot of people got worked up about us all being warned not to stay off topic so much. Turns out was only 3 or 4 posts that were ever actually removed so business as usual. We're a special case round these parts Bit Windy
  7. The Eastern edge of the rain on the radar hasn't moved more than a couple miles Eastwards in the last hour.. will it make it here? I can almost touch it
  8. It's mad - just move your mouse across the time line on here (on wind speed) and there are 4 or 5 Lows affecting the British Isles in the next week! http://magicseaweed.com/UK-Ireland-Surf-Chart/1/?chartType=PERPW#?chartType=WMAG&_suid=139146588223608823253685630532
  9. Well, knowing it's only 3 or 4 posts that have been removed, I'm no longer worried Let's move on everyone and business as usual! Any issues over on the East coast/Thames Estuary with the direction of the wind and the high tides over the next few days?
  10. It's true this thread gets a bit non weather related chatty but that's only when there's 'no' weather going on... once interesting weather starts happening we all change subject straight back on topic... Anyways, looks like I won't bother fixing the fence panel damaged last week for another week yet! Quite a nice day here in the City at the moment.
  11. Nice walk down Old Leigh and Chalkwell - was almost high tide and the water was very high. Felt nice in the sun though!
  12. I have! Looks like they're *just* coping at the moment? With all these floods the water seems to be so brown carrying so much silt and mud, is this going to end up blocking up waterways everywhere?
  13. Seems nice out there so a trip down to the seaside for a walk for a change I think. Given up trying to find places that we can walk around here as it's all swampy
  14. Had a mad 5 minute mini squall here 3/4 hour or so ago - torrential sideways big drops rain and gusty. Felt sorry for the McDonald's girl who had to bring our order out to the car in the middle of it! Clear blue skies before and after it. Had a complete rainbow though which was cool (couldn't get it all in the phone's camera though)
