    Whats our chances of a pasting this week? All the talk is of the far south east and nowhere else. Hope not cause it will be our last this winter!

    Last half hour id say coming down at an inches per half hour rate. Everything completly white here now.

    Had about an inch here since 7:30am today. Unexpected as rain was forcast! Snowing heavy now with massive flakes (9:50)

    Im starting to fear the worst now! 24 miles from the coast looks to far inland this time but it could all change!

    Keep the faith its 100% coming. Im 24 miles as the crow flys from the coast but all the signs are here that its even going to get to me!

    Look North weather at 10:30 had it getting as far inland as Allendale/Middleton in Teesdale so dont worry it will get there! Blizzard just outside Alnwick a minute ago cousin said on phone

    Its moving very slowly and predicted to only get about 30 miles inland then stay where it is for 4 hours then head back out to sea so could be a bit like New years eve where we got 10 inches! Fingers crossed!

    -2.2 here with a moderate nne wind with complete cloud cover at the minute. Anyone got a flurry yet?

    The surface winds can be nnw but the winds at 2-10000 feet could be an easterly so dont get disheartened just yet

    Looking very marginal for this weekend. M thinks just the coast to get snow/sleet. TWO and accu weather are agreeing with a very cold and snowy spell from the 2nd week of feb predicted. I never believe forcasts so far in advance but accu weather are usuall reliable? My mate climbed the Cheviot on Tuesday with crampons and ice axe and took his snow depth gauge that he uses in ski resorts. He measured 11 foot depth and this wasnt drifts!!!!!

    18 inches left in the North Tyne Valley in northumberland but 11 feet (Not drifts) left on the Cheviot mountain in north northumberland @ 816m asl

    There was about 90% cover still at a depth for 18 inches in the North Tyne valley north of Bellingham today when I was at work for the forestry. Thaw has took it down from 4 foot t0 18 inches though.

    Dont believe that. Last Monday they had 6`C here for today and its not got above -3.6!

    Nothing to report yet here! We look surrounded to the north and east on the mets 22.00 radar though so shouldnt be too long!
