Dont rule it ouf yet. The snow magnet located near mine will attract the snow im sure. It usually works with rain!

Last half hour here up from -9.5 to -7.2 and getting cloudy. Another 2 inches at least please to make it 2 foot everywhere here. Took dog out for a walk at 7pm across the field behind my house and stood on a drift and it went up to my chest(im6"2)!

Temp dropped from -6.3 at 17.00 to -8.2 at 17.57 here! Not confident of getting any snow here tonight, although was the same last night and I was proved very wrong!

-5.4 here and thats todays max so far! If the showers out to sea move in and hit us it will make it well over 2 foot of snow lying here. If it clears before midnight I would put money on -10 or lower here and maybe -8 or lower in Newcastle! If you compare the 14.00 to the 14.30 all the showers look to have moved to the east. Is that easterly kicking in just in time?

The snow there was over 4 foot deep. Makes my gardens 22 inches look like a dusting. The local farmers round here have cleared all the major roads without the councils help.

Last night all the showers looked like heading west of my place but suddenly turned east and staight at my place, eventually giving us heavy snow for about 5-6 hours. Im sure round here is a magnet to showers. When I was a kid they always hit the coast and we stayed dry but last few years they always seem to come to this area on the edge of the north pennines. Im sure todays will act the same way once the wind picks up. What does anyone else think? The pic below was took near Slaley at 11am today on my way to Hexham.

Just spoke to my cousin from Alwinton near Rothbury and there is 3foot2 inches of snow everywhere!

Another night of heavy snow from about tea time till midnight. Dumped about 6 inches on top of what we already had. ill have a walk and take some pics later. Measuring 22 inches in garden and temp of -8.3 at 7am today. More on the way?
