  1. Still wet sleet and just watched news with all the snow we will still have the lethal ice to deal with I expect
  2. IOW pompey lee.............................aaahhhhhhh........I'll pray for a large dollop of snow just for Shanklin......
  3. Getting bigger flakes in Horndean, but seems to be combined with bigger ice pellets, perhaps this is due to a heavier burst of precip.
  4. Still fine snow/sleet here in Horndean, Hampshire. Trying hard to lay......drive and pavements have a covering!
  5. 2 degrees in horndean and very fine snow or probably more sleet like
  6. Lovely rain in Portsmouth can't wait til we move hopefully won't be long
  7. I'll be having a nice meal and enjoying a glass of wine tonight so it can rain all it likes as I won't be watching it in the lamp post light!
  8. They are talking about what would appear to be 'downgrades' for some areas on the weekend significant snow threat thread but not sure if that impacts on our area or not
  9. Hello everyone yes gtltw's posts are fab to read! Our house is for sale and we are moving inland so hopefully this is the last winter that I will have to endure the dreaded it will be marginal for coasts, rain on coasts etc. Good luck tomorrow everyone
  10. Hello everyone hope you're all well! Im having a bit of a pants week so hoping for at least a sleet shower over the weekend to cheer me up!
  11. Hello hello hello! Just posted in the south west thread as it's so quiet in here!! Funnily enough was commenting on the relative quietness of our southern central thread in the main southern thread before it was split into the more regional ones. I often feel we are sort of the 'odd ones out' but I do remember when we were under the red warning some time ago and all hell let loose! Wonder if that will happen again in a hurry...............
  12. Hello, hope you don't mind me popping on here! My money's on Friday (I have no idea why, perhaps it's because I've had a couple of vodkas now - oh and whilst we're on the subject of money I forgot to collect my £20 from the cashpoint this evening, took the card out and forgot the cash until I got home and realised I hadn't taken it out of the slot, doh!! Consoled myself that hopefully whoever found it was having a hard time and treated themselves to a nice treat such as a takeaway and a bottle of vino!)
  13. I'm known as the weather girl at work and have organised our disaster recovery plan in case of disruptive snowy weather!! Naturally I'm hoping my 'forecasting' skills come into fruition so I can put my cunning plan into action!
  14. You're doing all right DD, you're doing all right.... I like this new forum, the central southern one was relatively quiet so it's nice to be joined together with the south easterners and westerners! Let's hope we have some snowy times to chat about, the met office outlook reads fairly well for us at the moment, it's quite weird to see southern areas progged to have the possibility of snow more so than the north but of course anything is possible!
  15. Hello Dancing Daisy!!! How the devil are you? Not sure if we'll get any snow here in sunny Portsmouth but if not, as we discussed last year I can always have a go at making some of my own in the bathroom with the shower on and the window open!
  16. Hello everyone hope you're all well. I have a very scientific way of knowing its getting colder and that's because my knees have started to ache! Always happens when the temperature drops lol! Good luck to everyone in the south over the coming days
  17. Well our weather warning for strong wind has been removed so just moderately windy and wet I expect tomorrow....yawn!
  18. I was so warm last night I've got a summer duvet and had to throw the window open at 2 am!
  19. Morning all, sleeting in Portsmouth and wet snow in Waterlooville (slightly north) - nice to see!
