Hi all, well it's Monday evening and regarding the forecast for snow it's not all bad news ATM...... still a mile to go yet though! But why not, let's have a sneaky look at what's unfolding this forthcoming wintry week. The Hi-RES Charts are just starting to show PPN for Thursday morning. Also the ECM is showing snow showers for Friday pm BIG BUT'S..... All hearsay ATM........Upgrades are always welcome

Oh yes a slider, always good to look at but very difficult to forecast, from run to run you will see the PPN more to the west or to the east or even it will disappear all together. As we come closer 24-48 hrs i will post hi res charts which are better for any PPN for rain or snow.

Interesting you saying that, looking back on new years day there wasn't a sniff of this so called cold spell that the GFS is now showing. So who's to say that the GFS won't flip again towards cold in 7-10 days time as this week unfolds, for us Coldies ...Let's hope so

I'm with you all the way......I'll be happy just to see Snow fall and not just one am in the Morning!!! Day-time would be better as one as to work and going to work feeling tired because Ive stayed up til very late ain't good. Must admit though 2010 was alright for snow here and blimey march 2013 was epic 20cm+ in my back yard. Anyway let's hope that we all see at least 5cm and this thread get's busy busy busy

Morning all, Well it's all about the weather and it's up's and down's in our search for cold and we have certainly had them this week. It will be getting colder as this forthcoming week progresses with potential for snow come Thursday. But i must add there's still along way to go yet but one that i'm keeping an eye on for certain in the ECM Looking at this first chart you can see LP at the bottom, this will run along the channel With the 850hpa at round -7 to -8..... that low will would produce plenty of snow for the Midlands And the rest of the weekend being cold, the snow would most certainly stay around. But like i said 'potential is the word at this stage' .....But come on we need this
