Its almost touching York!
And this is why I love radar watching and now casting. If it stays this far north then the GEM has won again!

Just noticed that mate. Looks like those brighter echoes are about to hit Donny and then Barnsley next.
Looks like they will be hitting West Yorkshire not long after that too?
If it keeps moving north yeah. Great news as this was supposed to be staying south

Just to add the radar has the streamer 30 miles north of euro4 so this run could be incorrect and its coming in more like its 0z run
Exactly mate I was going to sleep then seen this development. Amazing news for Northern parts of South Yorkshire

The Met Office's own forecast is now showing over 12 hours of heavy snow for the region tomorrow, along with 30mph gusts. (not to be taken literally of course)
No updated warnings as of yet though.
Looks like the automated forecast is correcting northwards. Great news for people to get in the streamer now

This streamer is widening by the hour.
Its covering a way bigger area than i expected so more of us could be in the game for longer!

Looks poor for those further north than us in Rotherham Chesterfield and Sheffield but late morning/afternoon tomorrow the precipitation builds further north of this also
Arome surprises me as it shows more streamers for Northern South Yorkshire parts into Leeds.

@Craigers unfortunately that stuff on the radar looks to far south already to affect Sheffield/Barnsley surely? The gap between Hedon and Hornsea is what I’m watching with the wind direction or is it due to turn more easterly?
Energy transferring northwards so should effect us by 11pm
