Every snow day costs me roughly £9k-£11k per day - a week would mean I lose over £50k but sod it we've had an exceptionally good few years and I love a lot of snow so bring it on!!!

turned to rain about 15 minutes ago, everything washed away although nothing settled from the second front at all anyway, just washed away the little we had overnight.

London & South East Regional Discussion - January 14th 2013>

Only exciting though if you just like seeing it fall out the sky, if you like it accumulating then you will be very disappointed as it's having none of that!- 739 replies

Know the feeling although we did do exceptionally well out of the 2010 event when it stalled in the central region so can't complain with one epic snowfest every ten years I guess!

Lol - just up the road from where I was, Morriconium. About as much luck as Arsenal sums it up although we aren't unlucky at the moment, just crap.

There's nothing in it other than the chance of a little snizzle - nothing coming tonight, tomorrow rain and the only way that stunning chart at 120hrs is going to do is downgrade as the week goes on as per everything proceeding this weekend. But then I don't mind too much as it keeps my staff at work!

Have You Noticed The Reduction In Daylight Hours Yet ?
Wilks replied to stewfox's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
I'm not too bothered in the winter as I think it makes little difference but I'm all for having GMT+2 during the summer months, that would be ideal! -

Model Output Discussion 14th May 2012 Onwards
Wilks replied to phil nw.'s topic in Forecast Model Discussion
Firstly, this weekend is not a bank holiday weekend, the comments related to this weekend not the weekend after, which is. Looking at the ensembles I'm not so sure that breakdown coming from the SW Sat/Sun is in fact going to happen and I can see that being weakened and pushed back or not happening at all. -
Well it's fotunate for you that you live where you do then!

South Central England Regional Discussion Thread Part 4

I'm with you on that! Once we get into mid Feb is about the time I start to look for some early spring warmth on the models. Sadly nothing really there at the moment, just fairly average. Not too long now though before we're on BST which is always something I can't wait for each year!- 350 replies

I agree, almost pointless looking at it, the only thing that will help over the next 24 hours is the radar and that's it!- 747 replies

South Central England Regional Discussion Thread Part 2
Wilks replied to Nick L's topic in Spring Weather Discussion
looking at reports from further west I don't think this one will live up to it's hype, I can't see any great accumulations at all happening tonight for those that have snow, it's staying as dandruff and very light, perhaps 1cm at best if lucky, not enough to cover the grass properly which in my book goes down as a non event and pointless. -

I disagree and would say the further north and EAST not west.
