  1. It was always looking marginal - nothing like the setup back in January - these sorts of setups are usually boring even if there's snow it's so short lived it's not worth it. Be glad to see the back of winter this year the cold is boring now.
  2. IF there's any snow it will be so short lived it's just not worth it - roll on spring now please - more of todays weather would be great, nice and sunny, feeling warm in the sunshine. Just get this rain out the way for next week and then a nice improvement as we head into spring. Lovely.
  3. doesn't really make much difference, you aclimitize to whatever has been before and I agree today has been lovely, sunny and felt like a nice spring day. Lots of rain to not look forward too next week but then a gradual warm up as we enter spring and not long really until the clocks go forward - can't wait for that day!
  4. lovely spring like day here - feels quite pleasant outside as well after taking the dog for a walk - clear skies.. lovely.
  5. This time last week the models were showing us in a cold setup with snow around these parts overnight last night and today but it could not be any different to that today. Lovely spring like day, calm, no wind, sunny all day and been outside digging over the garden with the sun on my back. Perfect February weather and signs now coming on for more spring like conditions although looking rather wet and unsettled but no doubt that will change as we get nearer.
  6. That is exactly the sort of chart I want to see now for that timescale! As with past experience on the models by the time that date is here it will be a complete opposite and we'll be in some nice milder weather!
  7. I completely agree with that, this time last week the models were shwoing us in a cold spell, harsh frosts, possible snow yesterday/today not just in Kent. It's a bit chilly, but cold, no not really. Hopefully we'll start to see some decent cold appear in FI - that way we can be sure that as it gets nearer the time it would have flipped completely and we'll be having some nice spring warmth!
  8. Very heavy snow shower here - lasted about 10 minutes and back to sunshine left a small dusting
  9. Chucking it down with snow here at the moment
  10. Certainly feels like spring today! Been working outside all day with just a t shirt, lovely sunny skies and very pleasant. Don't really mind a cold Febraury and would be happy with either cold or snow just no more horrible grey wet damp stuff please!
  11. One word sums this chart up...... Awesome! Bring it on!!! Let's have an early spring I'm fed up of winter now - had plenty of snow, more than the last 7 years put together and I'm done with it now. Time for a warm up.
  12. a fair amount of thawing today but still have just over 10cm lying snow and our road is still under a good couple of inches making it hard to get out in the cars. Been on and off light snow for the past couple of hours but no noticeable amount has settled just a sugar coating ontop of what's here. The garden igloo is still very much intact though!
  13. dont worry it's not - here's the radar pic from above my house and nothing is falling at all.
  14. coming up to nearly 24 hours of continuous snowfall here and still going strongly with big flakes coming down - this is the most we've had round these parts for well over 20 years! Amazing stuff!
  15. absolutley chucking it down here again! easily going to achieve over the 1 foot!
  16. Hi everyone - been a lurker for a while on these forums thought it time to join in! Been snowing here almost continuously since about 6pm yesterday. Still coming down and heavy at times. Nearly up to the magic 1 Foot of snow! Few pics from the front drive and back garden. The amount of snow on one of the climber plants on the fence caused it to completely snap off the trelis this morning!
