    Cardiff can keep the thunder and lightening, I'll be hiding under the duvet if we get it. Must have been worn out from all the excitement of the snow (or my 5am start) as hubby said I slept through it all last night lol.

    We had the hail shower earlier and just read on bbc news 24 that there was a 4 car pile up on the m4 near Bridgend not surprised as it was quite intense.

    Morning everyone, thought I heard thunder here last night but wasn't sure as the wind was howling as well, didn't see any lightening which is a good thing for me as I'm actually petrified of lightening the chapel not far from my mums was hit when I was quite young and the damage to cars and homes stuck in my mind.

    major thaw going on at the moment but still got a good 5" in places yet a couple of villages away its clear.. what temps do you think we are going to have overnight ?

    Been snowing here for the last 40mins again, neighbours drive covered again after he cleared it from this mornings snow had a good 4" of snow today totally unexpected thought the snow party was forecast for the east of Wales.

    Thanks for the answer , not sure it's the answer I wanted as the moon had rings around it earlier likely to be a rain event for me then

    I have learnt so much from you guys on the forum my mates laugh and ask when I became a weather expert I tell them I get a more reliable forecast from you guys, so I am going to ask a question might be a bit silly .... I was told if there are rings around the moon it is a sure sign of bad weather? or is it an old wives tale. Thanks in advance to anyone who answers

    The council have gritted our road at 10:00am for the past two mornings, they didn't do it in 2010.

    We have got snizzle here and just nearly did the splits as I went out to clean the snow of my car and take a couple of piccies

    net weather have updated my location for snow from now until 3, got to look at digging the car out for the back to work in the morning

    snow stopped here for about 45mins , snowing again now and the sky is really grey

    Stopped snowing here sky brightening up, but have noticed the wind is picking up again.

    Morning everyone, still snowing here unable to judge how much snow we have had as it is really windy and got snow stuck to the windows there is about 2 inches piled on se facing window sills but doesn't look that deep on the car roofs. We have had a power cut during the night hoping we don't have another one.
