I hope all of Wales get some decent amounts of snow as we have all been waiting with much anticipation for this snowmageddon that Andy music predicted a week ago

If that is true Townhill school will have egg on their face as they have already announced they are closed today

wind is howling at the patio doors which face south easterly nothing falling yet but I suppose there is an hour and a half to go.

The forum has gone really quiet wonder if everyone is out getting emergency supplies, went to get some essential shopping and it was bonkers.

light snow here not sticking though, I have checked the netweather forecast for my postcode and they have us down for light rain all day and for tomorrow icy rain at 3+ 6 am and 6 pm with heavy rain in the middle ?

still snowing here got a nice covering on the usual cold surfaces as other people have said nice to see didn't expect it

got snizzle ??? think thats what you guys would call it here now sticking to car.

Just checked netweather homepage for the will it snow section in my area I have 19% today, 11% chance tomorrow and an impressive 0% CHANCE for Fri, no need to go and get extra bread and milk with those odds.

we have got a dusting here was snowing about 11pm last night but thought we would have more rain so didn't get too excited. Saying that still not excited as the road outside my house looks lethal frozen with this dusting of snow and I got to get the kids to school

Ok I'm lost doesn't take much admittedly I thought we were off for snow today the charts show rain but met office have my postcode as an amber alert for snow.

Temp down hereis at 0 degrees had to de-ice the car doors to get in before I could even start on the windscreen (not good when you are running late for the school run) net weather weather forcast had us down for a temp of 6 degrees at this time. Can I hope the cold is further west and I might still see some white stuff?

I have been checking in on the forum all week and I'm still not sure weather (no pun intended ) to start getting Andy music style excited or just expect rain and not much else? I can actually see the sun at the moment which is unexpected as it was forcast to be foggy turning in to rain today.

Thanks everyone for your answers. The closest thing I've seen to a snowflake today is one that arrived on a Christmas card . Really hope we do get lots of snow next Tue but early in the day as much as I love my kids sitting in a cold Welsh chapel for their christmas nativity is not my idea of fun (I know what happens in the end) lol

sooooo jealous absolutely nothing here its damp and cold , everyone is so excited about snow when are we expecting this major snow event ?, sorry got a bit lost reading all the comments is it next Tuesday

Hi guys been following everyones postings for the past week, its amazing how the forum springs to life in the winter with lots of mentions of snow which is really hit and miss for us . My car reported 0 on the school run this morning and had to de-ice the windscreen it was a bit unexpected as it was raining when i went to bed last night. Any ideas what the temp is likely to be overnight as i have to go out and need to know if it is a double thermal dress code required? Congratulations Andy on your forthcoming wedding and glad your other half is on the road to recovery.

are we supposed to have proper snow about midnight tonight or is the netweather forcast wrong for my postcode ???

it was -5 here this morning with a frost covering temp now +1 but still feels freezing. Feeling very left out of the will it won't it snow this weekend as I am too far West
