I can't see why everyone is getting excited to be honest. There is no point having a cold mainly dry 2 weeks.
It would be such a waste to have such an unusual cold spell to end up with no snow.
No snow = Rubbish winter
What heatwave ? B) Is anywhere over 30 ? What a joke. The Met shouild be a ashamed of themselves putting out Level Warnings for weather that is warm to hot but nothing like a heatwave. Come back when temps hit 35 + then put some warnings out. ggggrrreee
29............Another cock up by the Met Office and their useless predicter data machines a warmish summer but no extreme heat or heatwave this year.
It's been a cool and wet start to summer yet again.
Prepare for a heatwave.......don't make me laugh
The whole of the Met Office should be sacked (with no pension rights)
Where is the summer heat ? and I mean heat 38 or more
Still moderate snow here in Kingswood, Bristol, I think we are going to max out at 2".
So thats 4" last Thursday, 6" last Friday and 2" tonight = 12" of snow in the last week!.
Unheard of in recent times in this part of England
Weather warnings now out from the MET confirms the downgrade. Sleety slushy mix for most with the Cotswolds and higher grouund seeing the proper stuff.
I've seen this situation before and it isn't going to happen here tonight. I think this is a high ground event only. I could be wrong but I would be very suprised to see any lying snow here tommorrow
Still no weather warnings out from the Met either. Looks like higher ground will do well but most lower areas it's rain/sleet mix I'm afraid. This one is turning into a none event I think for snow
This event seems to be a lot different than the ones last week. I would say it's game over for the Bristol area already as the rain is struggling to turn to snow where as areas further north than here its already turned to snow. Oh well cant complain last week has already made this winter pretty good
All this talk of the low going further north is totally rubbish. BBC radio 2 just said 90 per cent certain heavy snow for South Bristol up to North Birmingham. The GFS is wrong
Radio 2 forecast just mentioned West Country/South Midlands and South Wales will be hit hardest tommorrow night but the low wont get much further than South Birmingham. 6-8 " of snow forecast for these regions. No mention of rain
Is there any more snow for Bristol in the next few days ?. Really disappointing week here for snow we have only had 13 inches so far. Not that I'm getting greedy !!
Richard Angwin's forecast seems to be at odds with both national BBC and ITV forcasts. Both showed large blobs of snow over the entire Bristol area. Considering we have 3" of snow and still snowing at a fair pace I cannot see where Mr Angwin is coming from saying hardky any snow. I think Angwin has put his reputation on the line this evening and he could well have egg on his face tommorrow
Rain here
Another waste of space coldspell no snow for the majority YET AGAIN. Saw a snow shower last night so I should be happy.
ROLL ON SPRING NOW!!!
