Stopped snowing now, got a good 3cm out of that. Very nice big flakes as well.

Love reading your posts Roger.
I have family in Nova Scotia, Calgary, Vancouver and the Yukon. It's great to read forecasts and reports from North America. I usually do a winter scan of the webcams to see how things are progressing.
Much appreciate your input.

I am not going to be greedy, I am very happy with what we have had so will just keep fingers crossed for those who have had nothing!!
However, for those who have had nothing, the roads to Bodmin Moor, Exmoor and Dartmoor are usually kept pretty clear, and the elevation of these areas usually menas they are hit first, so take a trip up and have a play in the snow!! I know it can be disappointing to not get snow IMBY, I lived in Plymouth for years so I have been there, however are region is small, and full of hills so take a drive and enjoy
Right, my beautiful missus has bought me a very nice watch for my birthday, and in my attempt to take out a link out I managed to put a sewing pin through to the bone on my thumb!!

A stunning morning here. Blue skies, some high cloud and a brisk, cold wind. Love it!! It actually feels like winter.

had a quick peak at the radar before I left but looked about 8 or 9 so decided to come back. Stunning drive though. First time I've properly seen moors under snow. It is a stunning part of the world.
I was up there as well this morning, it's beautiful.

Well Barry I think you have every reason to moan. It must be so frustrating. I dont suppose you have seen snow since Dec 2010. That's an awfully long time to wait. Wish I could send you some.

Another cold damp day. This cold spell has been so frustrating. Lots of snow forecast for my village all this week. All we've had is rain and hail.
I suppose I'm lucky that Princetown is so close by. Had to go up there again today to get my fix. Lots on the ground and still snowing hard.but i really love to watch it fall in my garden, that's magical.
Maybe some of us in Devon will have better luck during the next cold spell. I have great faith in Gp's and Chino's forecasts and beleive this is not the end for us yet.

Currently snowing in west devon, started light a few hours and now getting a tad heavier with around 2cms settled. Weird that there's no participation on the radar where I am, nevermind!!
Hoping that lovely bit of heavy stuff continues to drift west from Exeter!!
Hoping it makes it here from Exeter as well. Had a couple of cms on Friday. Rain/sleet/hail ever since. All snow and ice washed away now (apart from Syd our snowman). Just driven through Woolwell and Derriford, they have more snow on the ground than here. Well maybe tonight is our chance.

Pretty heavy stuff here now, still sounds like sleet/hail. Too cold to get out of bed and check. Doesn't look good for snow for me tonight, but

Thunder snow on west Dartmoor! Started with rain, then heavy sleet and now heavy snow with a big lightening flash and a roar of thunder as it went from sleet to snow. Dramatic!
I've only seen/heard thunder snow once. Didn't even know it existed until a few years ago. Hope you get a good covering.

A BBC camera man came to Princetown and interviewed the head teacher, he says we are getting dumped on tomorrow. So that means you will be in on the fun!!
Yeay!!! Drove up to Princetown today, thought I 'd leave it til the crowds died down. You had quite a bit more
than us, was surprised how much was still on the roads in the village. Here's to some more soon.

Looking at the radar around Truro, unfortunetly it isn't going to last long, but very nice proper snow flakes now. I can almost believe it is Winter now.
Glad you have seen at least a few flakes this winter. Plenty of time for more!

GFS says 10oC tomorrow for Yelverton. Somebody please tell me this is wrong!!!! Haven't had chance to read earlier posts.
