Things seem to be very uncertain. Net weather got me down for no snow and Met Office say otherwise. Also added the radar for 21:00 tonight, its on its way what ever it will be!
Looking good for you around midnight, fingers crossed.
-
Well it feels bitterly cold outside now. Just been out to sort the guinea pigs bum warmer!!!!
-
Filmed a little vid on my phone earlier while out with the dog, got confronted with a blocked road/lane!! My bother and I usually drive up here when it snows to take the dogs, but as you can see no chance of getting through.
Wow that looks gorgeous. You had way more snow than us Devonians.
-
Judging by my Facebook, half of Torbay were heading your way looking for snow! In years past friends have done this and spent six hours stuck and not done any sledging so I don't think I'd attempt it. Love your snowpeople!
It was a nightmare getting through Yelverton this afternoon. Still not as bad as Dec 2010 when they closed the road onto the moor at Yelverton and there was just nowhere for the cars to go. Luckily we were up early that day and shared a fab field at Burrator with one other family.
Anyway, love the snow family Beast. Is that you with the orange nose?!!!!

NMM 12z Models looking great for Cornwall tomorrow evening and overnight. Perhaps starting off as rain but looks like turning wintry from about St Ives Eastwards, perhaps almost everyone eventually. Probably any accumulations moderate at best, maybe none near coasts but id be grateful just to see some falling snow!
Hi Blizzards I would be so pleased to see you guys get some snow. Devon often misses out but of course Cornwall usually does worse. Fingers crossed this week for you.

Please Don't forget to feed birds in your gardens over next few days, With cold night temps, they need our help, With decline of some species, we really need to assist them through cold spell, Even without snow frozen ground can be difficult for ground feeding birds,
Totally agree with you cerneman, I've got 2 cats so don't want to encourage them into my garden, but love birds and would hate to see them struggle.

Happy Birthday Mullender, hope your snow lasts well.
Definitely colder today after our thaw yesterday but still good patches of snow around.
-
Morning FK I!ve looked at 3 different sites and they all have our neck of the woods down as temperatures only just above freezing until the end of the week with snow Mon and Tues. This is obviously an improvement on yesterday's thaw, so fingers crossed.

Icy rain here on South Dartmoor, don't have a weather station but feels milder than this morning. Snow slushy and melting but Syd the snowman still in situ for the moment.
-
Where was that?
Apparently Woolwell had a little.
-
Plenty of snow around callington
Wow glad to see that some in East Cornwall have snow. Just stopped here on South Dartmoor, looks to be thawing, but lucky to have got some at all. Could you send some more from Callington, that's of course unless you want to hold onto it :0)
-
Unbelievable snow on the ground here. Discounted the forecast for being too southwest. Sleeping now. Sure the moor will be cut off for a bit.
Glad to see you got somethimg. Wet snow here at Yelverton but i expect Princetown are doing well!!
-
It's raining.........
More chances to come i hope Phil. Wet snow here at Yelverton. Hoping it doesnt all get washed away.
-
Yes Model Rollercoaster it's still snowing here on South Dartmoor, i would say moderate snow, quite big flakes and very blustery. Havent been out but think the snows quite wet, sticking to everything. Probably only a fewcms laying because of the wind.
-
Hi Benb just wondering how you heard it was snowing in Plymouth? Thanks
Sorry just saw it on SW thread, it was just rain 5 mins ago, so looking good!!
-
Still heavy sleety rain here :0(
Winds pretty gusty now.
-
Just heard the first splatterings on the window, sounds like sleet. No lamposts here so will have to go walkabouts. Keep us posted those in snowy Princetown.
-
Well Festival king, i love the moors, my husband loves the sea. We had an agreement to live 5 years on the moors then move to the sea, that was 19 years ago and still here!!!
I used to drive out from Plymouth in themiddle of the night to catch a glimpse of the white stuff. Thought i'd get more sleep if I actually lived here, but no, i'll be awake most of the night like the rest of you.
Wind picking up nicely now.
-
Definitely will do Beast. I don't even mind if we only got a couple of cms, will just be so disappointed to see rain yet again!!
-
Oh dear it's not looking good for us Devonians according to the latest Met update. Think iM going to have to stay up all night to hopefully see some snow falling, sounds like heavy rain for us in the morning. I really hope it's a bit more SW than forecasted.
-
Hi Snowponies and welcom, I've been out this morning so haven't had chance to catch up on changes. Is everything looking slightly east again, with Dartmoor looking borderline? I hope not.!!!
Where abouts in W Dartmoor are you?
Flakes slowing down, almost stopped here now.
-
Light snow here on Dartmoor this morning.
-
I totally agree with you Divadee, the midlands often does well for snow. West Devon and Cornwall havent seen snow for such a long time, they even missed out last Feb, it would be lovely for them to get a little something. Peeps on the MOD thread are calling it a non-event because 15-20cm is now 5cm. I would love to get 5cm, as im sure many in the forum would. After all its rude to be greedy.

Hi BM4PM as Barry says things are looking marginal for Plymouth but it looks as though things have moved very slightly SW since last night. I dont want to give you false hope but things change from hour to hour in these situations.
See what the other more experienced posters have to say.
