Feels absolutely great in this afternoons sunshine, feels much warmer than the actual temperature, smoke from whittlesea brick yard chimneys and the wind turbines saying dead calm, all the birds seem to be singing lovely roll on summer
Nearly 10oclock and sun has now broken through the crud in Peterborough temperature starting to rise and with a more favourable wind direction I'm hoping for a warm afternoon
Must say current weather conditions definitely giving me an headache today in my neck of the woods we have a brisk north wind yet rain has been quite easily heading up from the south but storms, sunshine and heat can't make it. hopefully Friday things will change for the better
Normal service seems to have returned this morning, over the last fortnight or so we've had summers going to be a write-off/washout followed by we're getting mega heat, eventually ending up with standard British summer weather as in winter what shows 10 days down the line is pure la la land
One of the better storms in the last 6 years for me was a squall line coming in from the north west I think it was in Jan or Feb gave lightening, thunder, large hailstones and torrential rain for a short time. summer storms seem to have deserted my location
I would go with Lincolnshire, I have a clear view across the fens from east Peterborough storms normally divert around me join up just to the north giving black sky's thunder lightning and torrential rain while I sit under a clear sky
Sunny at the moment but looking at the track of the spanish storm, I think in the dry zone we're only going to see a fraction of the rain other parts are seeing
