    The BBC seem quite confident what the models are showing us for both low pressure systems (Tues/Fri), albeit the final location etc. One thing for sure a very blustery week ahead for the UK. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/features/16126512

    Snowing and settling in Fulwood, West Sheffield ...icy roads as well -1 on car temp gauge and glistening roads..be careful all driving

    Still raining heavy in south Sheffield, well it seemed they got that forecast totally wrong!!

    Just loads of rain here!! not sure what the rest of sheffield is like, nothing here , cold around 2 deg, damp , wet and rainy ergghh!

    Never seen 10 cms go so fast!! fast thaw here now, gone as quick as it came!

    Morning all, woke up to 8-10 cms ,wow! did'nt expect that much how low I am (prob lowest point in Sheffield), slight thaw underway here at the mo with the sun popping in and out. I have had reports of up to 15 cms to the West of the city , Bakewell etc.

    No snow at all from yesterday here, anything above 200 M seems have got an inch, well today was beautiful, the sun now very high and it felt really warm in it, still got the cold wind though, temps now dropping in the clear skies, very dry, no snow around tonight. Not sure what the next few days will bring, but any snow that does come will soon disappear now that the sun is so high! Great Winter though

    Mainly Rain with some sleet since 15:30,temp has risen slightly, temps not quite low enough , horrid weather!!

    Plenty of heavy snow showers through the morning , but as quick as it comes it's melting (below 100 mtrs), if the temps were a tad lower it might stick around

    My Mistake , don't know why I typed that!!!! sorry my dew point reader has gone up!!!! our weather out station at Moscar (A57) is currently showing - 0.8

    Morning all ! Woke up, feeling a tad colder than yesterday, temp gauge stated around 0.2 C,some ice on the car from some overnight sleet, drove to work as I got up to around 150 Mtrs a slight dusting was in evidence. Is it me or does it feel colder today , it maybe the NE breeze picking up slightly. Present temp +4.7 C nr to Sheffield city centre @ 12:03 PM, Present wind direction is a pure Northerly. Dew point is dropping away as well @ -6.2C Humidty is @ 45%

    Hi Mark, I would say your only about 6.5 miles SE of me , so yes quite close. Very uneventful at the moment, just cold and breezy atm (1.2 C atm)

    Temp at around 1.4 C , wind seems to have picked up a bit, which makes the temp feel a little cooler. Just been very lightly sleeting here,no covering at all. Radar not showing any precip for the rest of tonight atm.

    Light Snow flurries here,a dusting above 200 M in Sheffield, looking on my snow radar, a sleet/snow band due from 12:30 - 15:00, mainly from the wash across to Peterborough /Corby area. highest it will get is Lincoln or Mansfield.
