  4. theres some very heavy ppn spawning out in the North Sea. It also looks like the frontal ppn from our North West will hit London in the next couple of hours. Heres a question - what would happen if the two were to meet?
  5. good news is the convective snow of the north sea looks more and more likely over the middle to later parts of next week which are far more effective in our part of the world than what we might get later tonight/tomorrow.
  6. ukmo still hace us under a yellow warning for snow - as long as these remain its game on IMO
  7. Uk paul I take it that the snow to the west of scotland is the main event later mon and Tuesday
  8. So this snow event everyones talking about on Monday - its coming from the NW - like Feb this year right. If so how does the intensity of the PPN measure up to Feb this year? Also what time is it expected to be here - I know it's hard to predict - but if you were making a bet?
  9. Can someone explain thw difference between leading edge and back edge snow.... I take it leading edge is the samw as frontal.

  14. when (if at all) will the regional threads be seperated?
  15. really don't need snow on sunday - Sunday night (after 8pm) onwards will do me just fine...
  16. how does the intensity of the projected cold spell compare with say dec 2010?
  17. we truly missed out on an epic event this week - if only we had stronger ppn...
  18. -3 in hounslow - very icy patches out there on pavements - be careful!!
  19. im 28 years old - so was too young to remember 1987/1991 - but certainly the best snow event i've seen was February 2009 - if we get that again this year I'd be very happy.
