  2. how long is tonights fall likely to stay for before melting.
  3. Im prob the only person that wants this snow to come later (Sunday night).... I;m out tomorrow night in Central, and don't want to be snowed out.... Getting snowed in Monday morning... thats a different issue...
  4. guys whilst there is a lot of excitment for tomorrow, whats the latest for our area afterwards into next week?
  5. The PPN really intensifying over the North Sea up north, why can't the same thing happen down here?
  6. I think this is what 99% of this forum (including myself) are hoping for.
  7. What the latest updates? Are we still a go with the snow this weekend? IS there any consensus at to whether we will have mild or cold next week?
  8. I seem to remember Nov 2010 Snow event down here being due to an Ipswich streamer. As we have PPN incoming towards Kent and EA, does this increase our chances of something linking up to Ipswich? Apologies if my memory is a little hazy
  9. Really hoping for snow from Sunday night onwards. Need my weekend snow free.... Tomorrow, or firday would do too
  10. 19:45 shows small PPN spawning, and heading towards Peterborough going SW.
  11. thanks, might have to purchase that, I'm on a learning curve here, but wouldn't a greater temp difference between the sea and air lead to increased moisture being convected?
  12. anyone else having problems with raintoday radar, shpwing PPN just disapperaing out of the blue?
  13. more of a coffee person, thats what i will need after a long night of radar watching...
  14. had some moderate sleet In SW London around 12pm today.... nothing now, anything brewing later?
  15. things looking more positive on the radar, PPN intensifying, and deffo a more E'ly flow.
  16. It looks like the PPN pepping up near the Thames Estuary is taking more of an Easterly component in the radar....
  17. Any particular reason you're outside? car thermometer tells me it's 3oC in West London. Does feel very cold. I suspect a very busy forum in about an hours time when the latest GFS comes out.
  18. countryfile sitting on the fence IMO, very ambiguous forecast. Says will be mainly dry, but at the same time shows snow showers forming in the North Sea,....
  19. I'd have said Central. I feel like I'm on the Extreme west of the SE being close to Heathrow
  20. don't be put off by the earlier GFS runs, I'm fairly new to this, but can see it does tend to prog strong Atlantic systems only to remove them/shift them elsewhere (as seen earlier this winter and if I memory serves me right the last two winters). If I was a betting person (and I am) I would say that someone somewhere in the SE will see some heavy snow this week.
  21. on the radar, the ppn from the west is pushing in closer and closer. What are the chances this could reach the western side of the SE later on tonight when it willl be a lot colder and possible turn to snow?
