    Heavy snow for last 20 mins, Consett has a good covering. Freezing conditions tonight will make side roads lethal.

    Sleet lower down in Shotley Bridge, climb to Blackhill and snowing, in Consett a good covering and bitter in wind! Now turning to snow back lower down and temp is dropping currently 1 degree was 2 an hour ago. Good signs.

    Snowing heavily top of waskerley. Roads bad!! Also really gusty winds, trouble keeping van on road due to snow and wind hitting you side on makes it really interesting. Home now and wet snow not lying.
