    Roads were completely gridlocked earlier in Consett. Council really need to get roads gritted much earlier. Freeze on way now leading to more chaos

    Could be the start of the Northerly blast. Still a good covering of snow here and freezing over again, lethal were melt has occurred.

    Had lots of heavy drifting snow showers since 7.00 coming down really heavy again now roads look white around Consett area!
