  1. Very pleasant here today, a fair bit of cloud, but no rain, and lots of unbroken sunshine… The change awaits us however, and the weekend looks autumnal but warmish!
  2. Still very pleasant today, a lot of cloud around, but plenty of sun, and warm, with a max of 21.3 (not sure what time that was at, but I imagine it was about 2pm when we had lots of unbroken sun. Outlook is decent to good for the foreseeable, and no rain in sight (yet)
  3. BOOOO!It's nearly time to start looking at the CFS charts for the upcoming winter!
  4. Nother glorious blue sky day with the very gentle breeze cooling us down… It's just hit 26.3 degrees now. Met E said a max of 23 for my area today (I think). That's the hottest I recorded this year.
  5. Fantastic output from the various NWP for the good weather to continue in the reliable time frame and beyond, especially for us here in Ireland.
  6. I see on the MOD thread they want the pattern to back east…. Much like in winter we want it to back west! Welcome to sunny Ireland, where we bate the east coast of England in summery weather!
  7. Overcast, but warm and humid. When the sun does come out, it's positively continental!!! Not wishing to put the mockers on it, but the medium range to long range outlook is good too!
  8. Interesting charts now for 7 to 10 day period, one to watch!
  9. Charts looked promising for the bank holiday weekend a few days ago, pure dreadful now!!! think I'll leave the caravan where it is for the moment...

  11. Lovely bit of spring warmth these last few days, and a lot of growth, which will no doubt be spurred on by tonights predicted downour!But seeing as it's this time of year in here, it's likely that I've just been talking to myself (much like my marriage :-) )
  12. mad heavy hail shower, lasted about 10 minutes, turned everything white momentarily. Hail was pea sized. Looks like more on the way, very dark overhead!

  16. It really is very very nasty here in Dublin at present. My weather station has just blown away, so I'll just say the gusts are VERY STRONG!

  18. And now the met.ie Shannon rainfall radar looks like it has just been blown away!!!
  19. Sherkin Island now recorded a 79 knots gust, thats 140 kph plus...
  20. Funnels reported in Roscommon according to met on RTE lunchtime news Wow, just seen Kinsale energy has recorded a 177kph gust. That is just phenomenal stuff. Very heavy rain falling here now, wind really getting up too.
  21. Gusts of 131 kph recorded, justifies the red alert issued by Met Eireann, with more to come. Thank God this thing is moving through quickly.
  22. Never mind this pitiful snow, tomorrow's storm looks dangerous!!!
