  7. Was going to read my zombie iBook this evening, but U lot are too entertaining!!! Windy out, no rain... Suspect that may change by morning tho.
  8. Mum power still on in trecynon thankfully. Good yours ok too... Hope stays that way! Looks a few more bits of rain to come yet for the valleys this eve although on radar looks to be going a bit north and east of aberdare. What a wild winter!
  9. Power is off in aberdare, according to western power distribution on twitter, expected back on at midnight. And the trains are suspended due to flooding.
  10. Mum in trecynon says storm bad, lights flickering and the hail is back.
  11. Blimey what a day! Late report, but the thunder and lightning earlier was a bit stir crazy! Not to mention to rain. Gawd the flat roof in our hallway. May even get some tarpaulin up there, no water coming in yet, but was dripping in two days ago thru plaster. Hope yours holding JP... The lightening was sort of blue, this was about 1245 ish. Went out shortly after, lots of big puddles about TW8 area, some minor flooding and a bit of standing water just by kew bridge lights by the small sainsburys. Thames looked pretty high and fast moving aswell.
  12. Hammering down here now, v technical term. Was gusty earlier. Gonna be getting some more rain water thru our hallway ceiling prob by tomorrow. Flat roofs eh ! Gah.
  13. Hi all enjoying last day off with a huge cooked breakfast I couldn't manage to cook yesterday!! Setting up bird feeding station aswell. Beautiful day... So lovely to have this dry interlude. Even have a snail shell on the bedroom window here !!
  14. Happy new year brilliant weatner folks!! Rough day. Still in bed, party ended at 430am, twenty bottles of cava champers and wine drunk!! And seemed a great idea to have candles and wine boxes in the garden last night.... Now blown away! Have a very god day, and look forward to meeting you in 2014. Ruthie,,, please don't shout!!
  15. Morning all!!! Happy new year an all that. Got about 12 people over later for, buffet and bubbles. Gawd knows how will fit them into living room! Non descript sort of day here,,bit of sun, cloud and wind. Bird community going nuts tho, as haven't refilled the feeders, will do it shortly. Had a jack daw hanging off one of the feeders yest, most odd ! He nearly brought the whole thing crashing to ground.
  16. Evening all!! Tis chilly. Just went outside and can see all the planes stacked up to land at heathrow!! Was nice not having so many planes landing last few days. Oh well. Leftovers beef tonight for dinner, time for some cava now I think. Cheers all!
  17. Tried a few times to reply to posts on here,,but no joy! Had a few gusts here a few moments ago, made bungalow creak!! Rain has arrived.
  18. Anyone else getting service unavailable whilst trying to access the forums? Been getting It on and off since this afternoon,,,
  19. Happy Christmas to you wonderful people with all of your weather knowledge and wisdom. Sorry to read about some of the stories on here of family loss and floods. Heart breaking watching the news of all the people today with no power and floods coming into their homes. Giving thanks today for my gifts and dry warm home, very lucky and grateful..
  20. Morning all, and a very happy Christmas Eve!! Was a wild night in brentford, the hoardings on high street were in a precarious position blown over when I walked through around midnight. Bits of tree debris in garden this morning, and can hear chainsaw in distance, so no doubt trees are down. Was undoubtedly one of the fiercest wind storms I can recall here, and the rain was like someone chucking a bucket over you! Even the Foxie didn't visit for some naan bread I saved for her!
  21. Hi all. Happy Xmas eve!! Ferkk the wind!! Having a cup of tea in bed, but sleep isn't really available, what with the commotion outside and lights flicking...
  22. Just walked home from brentford nite out. Well I say walk..... But was shifted along a tad. Flaming heck can hear a plane going over, surely not!!?? It's blowing a proper hoolie out there, and there are some huge trees we live under.. Ferkkkkkkk...
