  1. GFS looks wedgy to me not that it matters at this range but something to watch to keep us cold for longer
  2. All within the envelope as Bluearmy would say The main take from the day is heights are almost a certainty in get to Greenland everything after that is up for grabs
  3. Lovely upgrade from the 6z ECM , expecting fireworks tonight
  4. Yes the ECM day 10 chart would be very cold at the surface but it looks odd almost like it’s ran out of ideas
  5. Great start to the 12zs from the ICON let’s hope it sets the trend
  6. Small ridge from the pacific helping instead of hindering this time perhaps?
  7. ECM 6z control is better than the 0z around Greenland and better push of the cold from the north as a result
  8. I think we will begin to see more runs finds these wedges as we get closer to the reliable If they actually help us or not is another matter
  9. Yes that’s true but the small improvements in the 6z have had the positive effects I hoped they would
  10. Really just shows how insanely good the charts have been if this is being kicked out of bed
  11. The heights are slightly weaker to the south on this run should help box the high in
  12. GFS and UKMO very similar in the Atlantic . Looks primed
  13. If the ECM op was showing consistency in how it breaks down the blocking I’d be more concerned but it’s all over the place As ever more runs needed
  14. The difference over the pole between the UKMO and ECM is laughable
  15. Seriously I know it will probably disappear in the morning but what a run this is
  16. ECM now brings the retrogression to day 8 and we get our first very cold day 10. Supported by its ensemble suite GFS having is usual wobble before a cold spell although is and the top of its ensembles
  17. Both fantastic and now at day 8 for the retrogression we are reeling it in now
