  1. Lol, so you did. Another Northern trait, don't read stuff properly lol!
  2. Nah, gave that up years ago. Back on topic, I bring two pairs of shoes, inevitably there will be muddy bits, so keep a pair clean for if there is a down day. Also, I tend to bring a laptop to back up photos off the camera, for back up purposes. Less to lose if the worst should happen with your camera.
  3. Brandon Copic on LiveStormChasing watching it role straight in toward him, C-G's on the stream.
  4. Tornado warning just issued over Newlight, LA, with wording of "confirmed large and extremely dangerous tornado". Heading North East towards Vicksburg, MS.
  5. Same here, and Twitter tends to trend quite quickly with latest photos and videos, Helicity Designs did a live stream earlier on, worth a look.
  6. Yeah looked like trees down on his stream just then. Dangerous night ahead.
  7. 1300z maintains a MODERATE Risk with 15% sig tornado risk. Forecast wording for some strong to violent tornadoes later.
  8. Candidate for a Day 1 High risk maybe if this keeps growing?
  9. Ace, very much looking forward to it, and hoping we get some good lightning storms!
  10. Saturday has had a 30% area issued this morning for Day 4. Could be 5 days of storms starting tonight. Literally counting down the days now! Haha!
  11. Do it! I'm flying out on 10th August and back on 23rd August. Going to do a bit of other sightseeing before/after the tour, if @Nick L reports are anything to go by, its a very camera worthy place!
  12. Haha, I heard even when its mid-40s C, the dryness makes it feel 'bearable'. Still be an experience, just saving up for a new camera lens!
  13. Hey Paul, hope you are well! Yeah, I am, never been before, but got an opportunity, so booked for T2 this year and then Arizona again in August. Looking forward to it!
  14. I'm also weighing up 2020 Arizona potentially, if there are dates next year. Someone told me it gets upto 47C some days, properly warm, and then stunning lightning displays!
  15. Upgrade to a SLIGHT Risk tonight and 5% tornado chances, across TN / AL / MS, large hail and damaging winds too. SPC suggesting more linear stuff further North toward Kentucky, and semi-discrete supercells further South, which may present all hazards...
  16. Yep, SLIGHT Risk again today for Day 2, small area but the OKC Metro nonetheless. Tomorrow could be interesting!
  17. Watching some of the live streams now, some marginally severe-warned stuff, one or two tornado warnings over the last few hours, and a couple of videos of tornado reports on twitter, all HP though. HRRR shows some semi-descrete cells from Monroe, LA upto Memphis, TN by 21z, so all to play for yet. Hopefully, no injuries or fatalities!
  18. Excited for this! Loving that pic too haha!
  19. Heavy snow in Macclesfield, turning back to rain now.
  20. Think mine is 4pm as I go on to Los Angeles from DFW. Looking forward to meeting everyone. If anyone wants to split a room at the Best Western on the 14th-15th, let me know, I could only get a double king, so happy to split costs, if anyone is arriving a day in advance.
  21. Come storm chasing with the Netweather guys, you'll get your fix then! Can't wait!
  22. Still a good coating in Macclesfield. Absolute blizzard just after 7am this morning, probably an inch in the town centre now.
  23. Heavy snow once again in Macclesfield, and things turning white again. Sticking very nicely now. Roads are slushy, could be horrificly slippery tomorrow.
  24. Same here. It was huge 50p flakes at lunch, but very wet snow. Now its moderate dry snow falling, things turning whiter!
