[2010 Convective Storm Wishes/wish List]

What i wish for!!!!!!

in june i want severeal days of severe spanish plume thunderstorms to sweep up from france from about 2pm till 3am (I want to slepp you know) and just dominate with constant lightning, loud thunder and possible tornadoes strong long track ones!

during july i hope there to be some storms in cancun mexico as im going there!

and august i want it to just go crazy like june!

I want to be generally scared for my life but nothing happenes to anyone!

I want the bbc weather to say that its an emergency and that we should jump into are baths!! lol

15th April 2009 @ 4:24am - A thundershower arrived during the early hours i missed the first one as i was in bed and luckily caught this one:

28th ‎June ‎2009 @ ‏‎2:20pm - Convective thunderstorms to our SSE over C-london not much came of this i didnt even hear one rumble of thunder! nice Airbus A340 though!

06th ‎July ‎2009 @ ‏‎9:16pm - An amazing sunset after a hot day!

24th ‎July ‎2009 @ ‏‎1:43-2:16pm - Thunderstorms all day today, unseasonable cold weather and i have a date later on !!!!!

24th ‎July ‎2009 @ ‏‎8:30pm - Same day during my date i snapped these to beauties both look like anvil clouds but no visable lightning nor audible thunder + it was so COLD!

01st ‎August ‎2009 @ ‏‎8:48pm - another warm day with another amzing sunset!

20th ‎August ‎2009 @‏ ‎5:51am - Waiting to board my flight to Orlando intl - looking out towards the north terminal and the bridge on a loverly august morning at london gatwick (EGKK) that easy jet airbus boarded early!

20th ‎August ‎2009 @ ‏‎6:35pm (GMT) 1:35pm (US Eastern time) - Coming into land flying down floridas space coast i can see a nice thunderstorm over there! perfect just what i came to florida for!

‎‎18th ‎December ‎2009 @ ‏‎6:27am - Very heavy snowfall before christmas early start for me!

19th ‎April ‎2010 @ ‏‎7:07pm - Just the other day i saw what looked like a funnel cloud!!

[Spring / Summer 2010]

22C today its going to be here in london so at the moment its above average spring so are luck might be changing?

as for the summer i prefere convective months as these tend to have more sunshine and more thunderstorms.

Im hopeing for a warmer summer as these tend to be the more enjoyable summers and when u look back on it, its like yeah it was a really nice warm summer that year we had some good times.

I wish i lived in florida but florida during the summer months tends to be sunny during the morning and then clouds over during the afternoon and your almost garanteed to at least see lightning in the evening

although temperatures can get extreme.

I was there in august last year and it got uncomfortably hot on a couple of the days, these where the days we had the biggest thunderstorms one of the days it got up to 38C with 80% humidity, luckily most of the day we spent at the florida mall but for the morning we spent it at a sea worlds aquatica they have a temperature thing in the wave pool and it said 35C at 11am and you couldnt escape the heat even in the water we spent about an hour and half there and i felt tender we left for the amll at about 12pm, when we came out of the mall at about 4pm thunderstorms where building everywhere and by 7pm we had a full blown thunderstorm going with alot of close strikes i was facing the wrong direction to see most the lightning as the mass of the storm was to the north and i wasnt prepared to run around the outside of the building with close strikes. I got up at about 5am that night for the toilet and still could see lightning reflecting off the ajacent building. crazy night!

All though i wish for those kinds of thunderstorms i dont wish for that kind of heat especially as most of the UK doesnt have air conditioning as we have no need its a real life saver and coming into an air conditioned room after a really hot day is AMAZING!!

For july i dont really care what its like here in london as ill be in mexico!!

August i hope its hot and thundery! just like august 2006 when i got the biggest storm i had ever seen in the UK!

[Thunder At Its Best!]

What was that show called where that dude came out and toured around Tornado alley with the guys and the first night he got there he was woken by a huge storm and then after he got stuck at the petrol station?

Was it that itv program you guys where talking about the camera man????

Its some pretty awsome footage, i think its pretty universal that some of us used to be scared when we where little. for me it was particualarily bad as soon as my dad saw a flash he'd litrally run into my room and grab me before the thunder came so i didnt scream the place down.

I remember once there was a thunderstorm and i was too scared to make an noise so i hid under my covers scariest night of my life, but now i love it even though it sometimes makes me nervous still as people said the night ones make me feel un easy. but ive witnessed some intense storms in florida!! that went on all night it started at 7 and i got up at 5 am for a pee and could still see the lightning from it.

[27Th June 2009 Thunderstorm]

I was having a nap as you do, and my mum or dad came up and told me there was a thunderstorm coming.

I jumped out of bed in a dillusion just thinking that it was gonna last about 10 mins with about 5 flashes of lightning, boy was I wrong it turned up at about 4:30 and didnt leave till about 9:45 best thunderstorm i had seen in a while.

I had to cut most of the footage out to keep it short-ish!

good thing i have a 4GB Sd card!

there were storms predicted for that day but i dont think they meant this strong.

Caution:

Im one of those WHOA people everytime there is lightning.

My dog is annoying in the video.

The camera was my camera phone and im not the steadiest of people.

I sound homosexual which im not.

Im not the best with weather terms and quite frankly im probably wrong about most of the stuff I say!

So i have no idea if it was severe or not there was some pretty large hail please comment about it.

We serisously need a weather service just like the USA with diferrent countys weather updates.

I like the forum design, very easy to get about.

wt i especially like about netweather is i get heavy rain notifications awsome!

For me a thunder storm is classed as heavy rain/hail, multiple lightning and lasting for any amount of time.

I have some footage of a huge thunderstorm last year that i will post later on its not the best quality but im hopeing someone with a little bit more knowledge can explain it!

btw theres a WHOA!!!! everytime theres lightning and i know its annoying but bare with it!!!

I had 1 rumble of thunder in march this year, Sunday got very ominous but there was nothing more then a bit of drizzle.

I hope to be out of this club by the end of may fingers crossed! :lol:

So far this year ive only heard one bit of thunder in march it didnt have any bass to it what so ever.

Last year was a good year for me, in june we got a massive thunderstorm in london the biggest i had seen in a while probably since 2006 and in august i went to florida out of the 15 days i was there 12 of them there was either audible thunder or you could see lightning (in the distance), and one day we even got a massive thunderstorm it had soo much lightning.

I like hot weather but i also like thunderstorms! :lol:

Come on april give me at least a rumble of thunder! PLEASE! lol

When i was younger i remember without fail there would be storms during aprill e.g. aprill showers!!!
