    Just walked about 100 yards up the road, a strong easterly wind and driving snow in the face. It is rough!!

    Plenty of snow in Newhey just hardly stuck. Denshaw down to Delph had done best from what I’ve seen locally and I’ve just driven through from Greenfield.

    I don’t think my gaffer will call it off if it hasn’t started snowing heavily enough.

    I am getting concerned about driving over the 62 from 8am and whether I’m going to get back around 12 tomorrow. The apps and forecasts all differ, I’m wondering what to do?

    I’d have to check the threads but definitely on one occasion in 2013 and it has happened since on a SE flow. I’ve lived the last 35 years in the Saddleworth/Rochdale area and on occasion we have been battered from the east.

    I feel your pain to a degree, we are snowless here on a South Easterly flow but can get buried from an Easterly. In 2013 I watched everyone get snow whilst I was in a shadow.

    It’s on top a hill looking down on Slawit if you are cutting over to the 62. Be there around lunchtime.

    Oh I’ll have some of that update, I’m expecting a snow day Friday. Even if it’s not bad here I really can’t see the m62 being open at Saddleworth to Ainley top with that forecast.

    Of to work now with limited access to here. I can’t get a grasp of where we are at in the mod thread because all I read is south this south that. Will be checking this thread for (hopefully) some good news.

    A big upgrade on my apps, I know they can’t be trusted but all of them show snow at different times in the next three days. One app brings Wednesday into it, another a foot of snow thurs/fri. Another not much Thursday and then battered Friday. Anyones guess
