    I few little cells just developed on either side of me. I suspect this mcs will decal but in the process triggering new home grown storms into the morning. Hopefully!

    Hey all, been reading on and off all day. Very exciting stuff!! Pretty cool to see a mcs type feature heading NW, i think every mcs i have watched before always dives east at the last minute, but not today. Good luck everyone who is staying up to radar watch!

    I completely agree, i have seen this sky before and it looks troubled. Considering the pressure is up around 1031mb im not sure they will trigger, definitely feels stormy out there though! Im more excited about the end of the weekend, very interesting setup to come

    To be fair i have always found our area of the country rather storm starved, most storms i watch on the radar over the years always seem to go over northampton, or south over the luton area. Its not very often we get a storm from MK, but normally its where the big ones come from!

    Brilliant thunderstorm to the north of Bedfordshire this evening, Sky went very dark around 8:30 and started rumbling. Left work early and drove to the nearest hill, first night time light show i have seen since those massive imports last summer! I have high hopes for all us storm fans this summer, its going to be our year!

    Damn that sucks, MK almost always does better for storms then here! Wasnt much of a storm though, didn't observe any lightning but had about 5 good rumbles! No rain but 5 mins of pea size hail. Perhaps another will form over the next hour or so....

    Just watched a cell rapidly grow on the radar, 3 clapps of thunder and some impressive hail just now in kempston!

    This image has been bugging me for years, i was filming a storm in July 2009. The storm was pretty much overhead with sporadic lightning, i still cant decide if this is a genuine step leader or just an image ghost. It appears on a single frame, followed by near instant thunder. All the strikes i filmed that day where a much brighter blue as apposed to this purple one which is odd. Also under it is a tall metal umbrella stand in my garden...

    Fingers crossed, the anticipation is killing me! I miss the night time light shows i remember as a child in the 90s. After the mild energetic winter we had im hoping there will be more energy available in the land. Definitely need a couple of weeks of high pressure to heat things up, Its hardly warm yet and there have already been plenty of storms! Good luck fellow storm addicts!

    This has been the most interesting year for weather i can remember, I cant wait till the summer sun is in full force. Id bet this summer is going to more convective than previous years..... Hopefully Some very large clouds bubbling up to my east. Fingers crossed for a hail shower!

    Ah well its still early days, Perhaps a tad early in the season to be storm chasing anyway. Im hopeful there will be a storm about somewhere this evening, probably in Lincolnshire.... again!

    Was rather excited last night, Not convinced much will happen now as it looks like this grey muck is going to get in the way of any decent convection :/

    The sky has been rather dull and featureless all day, some convective stuff just started bubbling up in the past half hour though. Id bet some are in for a storm this evening from the look of this sky! Good luck fellow storm addicts!

    Im pretty sure i just saw a distance flash of lightning to the SW, What an interesting weather day it has been! I hope everyone is safe and well.

    I completely understand that people are suffering as a result of these weather systems, But if you live in a floodplain or on the edge of the coast you cant be surprised when something like this happens. I love the rain, More of the same please : P

    Been drooling over the charts for the past couple of days, Just planned a drive down to Brighton area on saturday morning with the family. I love a good storm! Also please could people stop whining about the rain? Its been the most exciting winter for years!
