-
Im next in the firing line, can see it aproching from my west. Will tell you what it falls as!
Falling as rain
-
Mate, i was down in eailing round that time it was not snow. But rain!
-
Plus one its so much more userfriendly
-
Thanks, some good points, gonna redo my forecast bearing that in mind!
-
Im in a low lying area, so i doubt it. 1c MINIMUM for me, in a low lying area i think sleet max.
-
Again, i think the 528 dam line is too far north. Ill say sleety snow MAX. Thats my opinion.
-
Might scrape lane around Hastings - Bournemouth - Dover.
-
Yes it may just skim coastal areas from time to time. Amazing what a cold westerly with warm seas can produce.
That is fairly similar to the us tornado alley set up. Except warmer seas instead of hot air. It is a good set up. Shame if it came inland it would fizzle!
-
Reports from friends of thunder lightning and big hail east of Brighton. Coast beware!
Its out there in the channel, its got a fair few strikes on it. Its heavy, shame probably not going to hit the mainland.
-
Paul, this is happening in the Cambridge area too!
-
Also i would like to add, the 528 dam line is too far north. Although (and i hope) this will change. So most likely no snow! In my opinion.

Judging by those graphics, it looks like heavy rain for us, or just wind and rain?
TBH i think its dead right in the middle of there 2 tracks.
-
The wind is picking up, and the pressure is dropping. Looking forward to this!
-
the radar is also missing some of kent out and has been for a day or two...
just noticed that, please fix it ASAP
-
Yep that band will hit me in around 25 mins.

So it is wind for Tuesday, what is the 'Beast' on Friday, is it snow? or more wind?
What it is is a area of very low pressure with tight isobars moving across the UK the lowest pressure is in Scotland. The isobars are still very tight down our way, tighter than Monday/Tuesday. So yes wind.
-
Does look windy on Monday night, nothing too severe but probably gales for a brief time...
I agree with you, it seems that we will feel the worst around 4ish pm until the eairly morning. Who ever said bout riding to work then it should be fine except abit breezy!
-
Ben,they look simular. shame that that low is not further south.
-
4c here in West london, and dropping,
-
That Sqall line looks goood
-
Well, got no hopes down in west london but a decent frost.

Do you mean a wireless temperature gauge with the ability to read it somewhere else, or an actual thermostat that controls the temperature in some other remote room or building?
If the former, something simple like this will do it:

If the latter, you might be looking at something like this?
Thanks for that former.

Hi,
I love my current old school weather station and seeing as im getting a replacement rain gauge its all good. I would like a thermostat that can reply back to my house as im getting tired of trekking out to check the temp. Anyone know a way to get one? I don't want a full station as i have no where for the wind or sunlight to go etc.

We are looking at a clear night with possible wintry showers!
I may say myself that cloud coming south could be of a interest later in the afternoon!
