    Just had a light wet brief snow flurry. You can tell its been a long mild winter if I'm getting excited over that.

    It was the likes of "Nick Sussex" and "Atmos Ferric" on the BBC board that got me into model watching and then I came here to waste hours of my life! I also still remember "Dave Allen" and "Bill Farkin" - no comment about those two.

    Even at lower levels in Sheffield (Archer Road) there was sleet in the heavy precipitation. Not expected.

    Sticking to cars that were cleared already here. Light snow only though.

    Slight intensification occurring in the East Midlands on the radar now. Barely any northward progression in the last hour though.

    Starting to settle (just) on treated bus route at 200m asl in Sheffield.

    Light snowfall continuing, sticking to the paths now. I can still see my lamp post when I close my eyes, I think I need to take a break!
