  1. Patches of, wait for it, blue sky and sunny intervals. What's going on?! 8.6°C after a low of 5.6°C. Might not need the layers of waterproofs on this afternoon's soujorn to the local windfarm...
  2. 27 Feb - ice day across the country. That's my prediction. Hic.
  3. Up tp 2.7°C now after post midnight minimum of -0.4°C so forty third air frost. Lots of radar action last night including the bright greens, but precious little fell to earth - missed out on that fantastic tinkle tinkle experience. Off out shortly and having to dress up against that bloody SSE wind. Brutal.
  4. -4.8°C last night making it my forty second air frost. Max of -1.2°C earlier. Fierce wind and windchill out on the daily amble
  5. I'm just enduring -4.1°C and a gusty wind of 41mph. It's bloody cold with the thick full curtains closed, fire on and central heating.....
  6. Forty first air frost at -2.5C. No showers here, but the 5-7cm remains. Friend sent me this from the streets of Edinburgh - made me chuckle:

Just getting in the car to start the defrosting 10 Feb 2021.
  8. -7.7C overnight, so the fortieth air frost. Now 1.1C and positively Mediterranean in the sunshine.
  9. Pah - you and your rules. Thanks John. Every day is a school day.
  10. Of course it helps if your monitoring equipment goes to several decimal places. So @asjmcguire if you can find it in the data that it was actually -0.01C (or even -0.04C!) then dancer!
  11. Well we even joined in the fun overnight waking up to a 5cm coating on top of the exiting stuff, so must have had a blob come over. Temp went down to -5.9C so thirty ninth air frost.
  12. This wee screenshot suggests that's erm, less than likely [\politeness]
  13. Tropical Teesdale got down to -3.6C, so thirty eighth air frost. Got 4cm of snow - we are at the end of the shower train in the western Borders. Pretty.
  14. First oranges and reds on the radar now too. Thunder next mibee? Calling Inchcolm Abbey.
  15. Just glancing at the radar - that'll be the start of the central belt snow train?
  16. It was beautifully sunny just before lunchtime for a good 90 minutes, and the temp got up to 0.1C. Dam you. Now, in a yellow blob and it's piling down at -0.9C. Around 5cm on the grass now. Pretty.
  17. Few cms of the most perfect dry powder snow. Just brushed it off the car with a wee broom and drove off earlier. -3.1C so thirty seventh air frost. Main road is black side roads skiddy as hell!
  18. This view from walking Finn earlier sums up the conditions here. Snow above 300m from days and days ago, but today's light snow/snizzle only dusting lower down surfaces, although it is everywhere. Max daytime temp today of -0.4C, now -0.6C. Radar suggests northerly component in the track of the showers which was a straight easterly earlier.
  19. Snow's on! Was -0.6°C earlier so thirty sixth air frost. Currently -0.5°C and the white stuff is lying everywhere.
  20. Snow on now and it seems much heavier than the shallow radar returns. 1.5°C.
  21. 1.8°C and miserable all day. Sleety rain in the heaviest drizzle. Snowline at 300m And for all these piddly snowblowers - meet Daddy
  22. 0.8°C and the biggest flakes I've seen for many a year sticking everywhere. This is what was supposed to happen tomorrow afternoon!
  23. Down to 1.3C. At 21:00 charts say the 925s turn negative and 528 approaching (including Edinburgh)..... Big flakes here with sleety pish in between.
  24. Imdeed. -2C maxes for me all week apparently. And the Thursday evening breakdown is being pushed back and reduced in intensity with each run.... Cold miserable day here. Was 3.9C early this morning. Now 1.9C and the last bursts of ppn were wet-snow big flakes. 12-18 hours earlier than I was expecting.
  25. Up over Drumocther using a proper form of transport!
