Not sure, I definitely got the one that passed a few miles west of Derby. I am not sure if the others were supercells, although visible rotation in the cell that passed across East Nottinghamshire. I was under the cell near to Sleaford so couldn't really see much of the clouds as I was surrounded by a wall of water, hail and lightning flashes lol.
Theres a picture of the one that passed over Gainsborough/Retford at about 2:30, showing a cracker of an wall/shelf on it.

Bagged no less than 5 cells today! A very successful day chasing, certainly the best of 2014
Did you get both supercells then?

wow fantastic that is
That is truly apocalyptic.

There was some epic cloud action going on wasn't there? We didn't get too much lightning here but in terms of storm structure it was very impressive. It looked like a 'proper' storm if that makes sense
It felt like a proper storm too. Proper rolls of thunder, and the odd crack of lightning for me. Couldn't really see the structure, as it seemed to be embedded in the rest of the system, but from what I've heard elsewhere, it was good. Could tell there was a bit of a wall cloud too.

Another poor day storm wise here although some lightning and Thunder did actually get over the Dronfield bypass. The skill the storms skirted both my home address and work address is only something a stunt pilot could do. Type in s89en and then s10 2fn and see what I mean.
Marks out of ten. Following the 1/10 for Saturday 0/10 for Sunday 3.5/10 for today. Nothing major rainfall wise either a total of 5.2mm from midnight.
I got missed by 1 storm, then had the first supercell straight above me, lifting a bit of moisture up. The second, bigger one, turned right before it had chance to get close..

I'd hazard a guess that it was definitely a supercell, and at least one of the setups behind it was too.

Amateur observer in Gainsborough recorded 28mm of rain in 20mins, with 2 cm diameter hail.

Its getting warm out there, just nipped out to take a photo, and the pavements and roads were steaming..

Agreed, thats a lovely example of inflow on that beast, even at normal speed you can clearly see moisture condensing and getting sucked in, great vid
Fantastic indeed.

I'm waiting for the 1215 pass of the MODIS satellite to be put on the site to see what the tops looked like, but they're massive from here.

I think I'm going to get missed by the next cell along, which was the large one I was waiting for. It appears to be another SC though...

The cell behind the one thats just passed me looks fearsome..

A Possibility need to be watched closely, other cells in the area are dying electrically and on the live lightning plotter there does seem to be a distinct rightward shift on the cell lightning wise, had been moving north eastwards for a long time.
UKWW are calling it a SC..

Constant rolling thunder now, with some Cg in there...

Definitely flooded in Ilkeston. Caused about £20 of improvements.

The cell I'm looking at has recycled and is going to pass between Doncaster and myself. I may nip out for a closer look
