Mine went on last night. Did everything i could to stop my girlfriend switching it on, there is no turning back now......
Got down to 1.8c here

Heating on, 1.8C last night with slight ground frost. Cloud Inversion up on Curber Edge this morning under blue sky's, winter in very close now!
-
The old snow up there is like dirty ice, very very compacted due to freeze thaw canditions. Which what makes it perfect for ice climbing.

Tumble Weed moment....................................................................................@....

And to top it all off, i've also spotted some more UFO/Seagulls in the picture with the silent sunset.

yes! *sticks tongue out*
For some reason the usual update isn't 'updating' so I've hawked this update form another site for this morning, tbh it's a better resolution.
Thanks for the link there C.P, much better map. will be interesting compareing the two over the comeing winter

Short thunderstorm here in the last 15 minutes. Several flashes of lightning and cracks of thunder and a short burst of very heavy rain and hail; the best storm here this year.
And some very strong gusts to, it must of peaked 60 65mph at one point.

http://ski-zermatt.c...-live-cams.html Nice to see the first sprinkleing high above Zermatt around 3000m. Its looking like there's been lots of snow build up in Russia and Siberia to.

Unfortunately not, the entire system has been updated so it's not purely a change to the look and feel.
Thanks for the reply Poul. Im happy with the new look it's alot clearer and fresher, and looks very modern

Is it not possible to have a setting to choose from the old style or the new, so its then up to the individual what he/she prefers ?

The Jerusalam footage has already been debunked. The video with the dramatic music, and cut and edited to hell is just way over the top. We are here alone, and nothing has ever and will never visit us from another world. But you never know........

You can only take his word for it, not enough evidence once again......

Anyone in Buxton following the cell that's coming up to Castleton about now. I'm looking at it, and for the past 5 mins its looked to have (what appears) a elongated funnel-feature to the rear updraught.
I can see it!!!

Where in the Peak District are you? Do you think it's heading my way?
Im around 20 miles N/W of you, you should catch something very soon if not hear it....

Just started raining here, sounds like a good storm coming
-
So this is happening on Friday 29th (this friday) not 12th August, Its not very clearly written. Any how, should be a good show given the current dry and clear conditions.

for those like me who have difficulty remembering these abbreviations
EPO=Eastern Pacific Oscillation
perhaps someone will enlighten me and others as to what WPO is - maybe Western ?
Use of these teleconnections is, at best, very difficult to link to effects in this part of the world , at worst near enough impossible.
AO - The Arctic Oscillation
NAO - The North Atlantic Oscillation
PNA - The Pacific North American Oscillation
EPO - The Eastern Pacific Oscillation
WPO - The Western Pacific Oscillation
MJO - The Madden-Julian Oscillation
PDO - The Pacific Decadal Oscillation
NPO - The North Pacific Oscillation
AAO - The Antarctic Oscillation
QBO - The Quasi-biennial Oscillation
All of these teleconnections, plus MANY more that are minor or are simply NOT yet known, are pebbles and rocks dropping into the fluid atmosphere. Each one has positive, neutral, and negative phases, and each one impacts the atmosphere via waves rippling outward from their regions of origin.
Hope this helps John.

http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/63512-el-nino-and-la-nina-how-they-effect-the-north-atlantic-and-the-uk/ There was a thread here discussing La Nina and El Nino, but the topic has been locked. May be worth opening a new one

I'm confused now. Is this Climate Change or Global Warming ??
When they realised they were wrong, instead of them changing it to Climate Cooling and looking realy stupid... They opted for Climate Change. Which to me is even more bizarre, as the Climate has and it always changing, And we will never be able to control it. TEITS may be onto something there regarding the summer forecast, this winters going to be an interesting one IF there's a pattern to follow...

I agree, The models keep on throwing out very stormy weather next week and beyond. Something we have not seen much of in the last 2/3 Autumns, and a pattern that is long over due....
