  1. Showers looking to be beefing up a bit to the north west.
  2. Heavy sleet in Derry. We need darkness and twmps to drop!
  3. Yeah that event all melted by the next evening. 12 hours of constant snow!
  4. Nothing but rain here to! Showing as snow. Very marginal.
  5. So on this run that front that was due to dump loads of snow on parts of England and Wales isn't making much headway now! Stalling just south of Ireland. Just shows how much things change on a daily basis.
  6. Well this wasn't showing this morning. Has the block pushed further west on this run so far? Haven't been near the model thread yet.
  7. I expect the Met Office to issue a yellow warning for snow later today or first thing tomorrow. They do mention in their ice warning that as the air mass gets colder then showers from the North West MAY turn to sleet and snow.
  8. The way things are going I think it's doubtful.
  9. You beat me to it Boofer. I did mention it earlier but this could be good for us! Way to early to know but.
  10. Didn't go in to much detail but I would say there will be a few surprises.
  11. ECM looking good so far! Talk of that low to the NW sliding under the high SE. Cound be quite good for us if that comes off. Also current BBC forecast looks decent for us tomorrow evening. I expect lying snow by Thursday.
  12. That could change for definite. Look how many changes we have had over the past week. If the current UKMO chart verifies then the cold will be in place longer. That's my look on it anyway.
  13. Come Monday with that from approaching from the SW I reckon the snow line could be further west once the cold establishes itself later in the week. Somewhere gonna get a real pasting.
  14. I definitely think we are entering a lengthy cold spell. Everything coming together nicely. Be very interesting to see where we go after this initial blast. UKMO has been pretty consistant the past week or so.
  15. A wee bit disheartened by what could have been epic cold going by last week's models. Still a chance of something wintry later in the week before high pressure looks to take control for a whlie then focus shifts to the end of the month and in to February.
  16. FI is probably sitting at around Wednesday morning. Could be an interesting end to the week.
  17. I find it hard to believe the GFS is now backing the UKMO. Complete turnaround. If this keeps showing then it not on prolongs the cold but with highs building in to Scandi then there could be an easterly down the line to. All to play for. Interesting day of model watching on the way tomorrow.
