  1. Folks we could be on the verge of something very cold and snowy. Another upgrade on the 06z and this chart would paint a very snowy scene indeed! Lets hope it continues. I take back what i said the other day about just looking at the 12z outputs. Lol. Just look at the disturbances in the flow on this chart!! The sweetest of eye candy!
  2. Great to see a happy vibe in here. Not even gonna bother with the model thread this morning as all sounds good.
  3. Bomber I remember that well. It was an unreal night. The snow just kept coming and coming. Had all melted by the next evening. Lol
  4. Lovely 12z so far. Let's hope the ECM plays ball and doesn't throw a spanner in the works. This evenings runs are a prime example of why we shouldn't look into each run in depth and take it as gospel. Of course the s**t can still hit the fan but we are trending in the right direction.
  5. It's one run!! The models have been all over the place lately so winter can't be over with one run. Lol. My advice is to stay clear of the model thread until the 12z each day.
  6. A complete pattern change is taking place now and completely agree with your views on GP's posts, the man certainly knows his stuff. Joe B has tweeted now..... Follow Joe Bastardi‏@BigJoeBastardi 5 day means 500, 850 mb on Euro WMO show classic cold for US and Europe, Textbook blocking, collapse of jet!
  7. Yes Pom still looking good. Hopefully the ECM is feeling generous followed by a Stella Pub run tonight. We shall see.
  8. Things are definitely looking up for us. Understandably people are being cautious but strong signals have been increasing the last 3\4 runs. Looking forward to today's 12z.
  9. There was a dusting of snow out on the Sperrins earlier. Welcome Ali.
  10. My fathers fence in the back garden is wrecked. 3 support posts completely snapped! 40 foot tree not looking to steady either. Definitely a wild night!
  11. Interesting!! Only the second time ever that the North Pole has got above freezing!! http://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2015/12/iceland-storm-melt-north-pole-climate-change/422166/
  12. Yeah it has definitely downgraded slightly from earlier but i wouldn't take these precip charts as gospel as they change all the time. I only posted as am clutching at straws and hoping for a bit of snow
  13. If Barra mentioned wintry showers then its definitely not happening. Lol
  14. Upgrade for snow on the GFS for NYE. Surely we can bank this. Nice to see!
  15. Oul Frank starting to beef up a bit now! Interesting night ahead!
  16. Don't even get me started on Barra. Lol My 4 year old son could do a better job than him.
  17. Really quite worrying the amount of rain that has fallen tonight. Lots of standing water and flooded roads. Tomorrow rivers will be swollen with tonights rain then storm Frank is due to hit. Take care everyone especially those who live in low lying areas
  18. Showers turning more wintry now. I would say high ground will do well this evening and tonight. Could be a Christmas morning walk in the Sperrins on the cards.
  19. Very stormy here this morning and quite wintry with driving sleet! It's trying its best to snow! Definitely some interesting weather to come in the next week and another storm to look forward to on NYE which looks nasty in the current models.
