  1. Well I had a quick nose in the model thread a lot of the the posters in the west going on about the south & southeast having rain sat, a lot of ramping saying it will pivot and and they will get more also regarding next week we miss they get hit. I don't mind cold but would like to see some laying snow for more then a day.
  2. Don't think would want to eat telcos burgers quote from paper has it they contain horse meat.
  3. Like you say we need that undercut to keep the colder air in place otherwise it will end in a heap of mush. : ( soggy feet come to mind.
  4. Yes but then when it all melts and the warmer air digs in which is being modelled later on then I think there will be issues for flooding.
  5. Depends how far the front gets before hitting the really cold air. As for amber warnings they can be downgraded as well take 2010 east anglia was issued with amber warnings only to be downgraded 6 hrs before the event and we got nothing.
  6. I think we a lot of us are wanting an undercut. As for met o I wouldn't put any faith in what they show past 24 hrs regarding snow let alone days ahead. ESP if going by their early prediction we are meant to see rain on Sunday. Best thing to do is chill our relax as what will be will be.
  7. I agree I do know from past set ups from Atlantic approach that it fizzles out before it hits east anglia. I would love for the snow to come from the North Sea And spread far in land covering the whole of east anglia. The reason for this is it sticks more and last longer due to the cold temps
  8. Hi BA not sure about how far south east but I don't think it will reach my location I have a feeling that the front will hit Bedfordshire fizzling out.
  9. With all the potential for snow in the west I fear there will be warnings issued later with warmer front coming in that there will some flooding in far west corner.
  10. I for one will not be getting any hopes up. 2010 springs to my mind everywhere had dumplings of snow Bedfordshire done well but east anglia even after amber warnings was downgraded 6 hrs before the event. Coastlines do well from North Sea in certain set ups but further north west in east anglia miss out greatly and only clip pebo.
  11. If the ukmo is on the right track then the energy companies will be lining there streets with gold
  12. Lightly snowing in Huntingdon now. Mind you think that will be it not expecting anything up and including weekend. Think SW will do very well into the weekend
  13. Hi dexter when the snow came earlier and thicker then expected I had the same view as some others regarding the wrap around. I still think pebo,, only by a margin and the coast will catch more snow showers on off into the evening. Snow desk is still being called in regions where snow has already fallen but my guess this is just a precaution.
  14. I had a feeling that was the case as its become thick and heavy. I guess the wrap around will be a bit of a none event for place outside pebo, and slightly west
  15. Hi can anyone tell me how pebo, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire have now been issued with yellow for today until midnight tonight when we were on amber. Very confused.
  16. Thank you. Still learning the charts but with such flip flopping of late makes it more difficult to understand.
  17. Hi all glad the snow finally arrived my hubby was on snow desk last night and very very light snow was falling in sandy and coming across EA around 1:30 this morning.
  18. Well don't know but my hubby works for H A and has been told he has to be in from 0000/ 0700. This covers Bedford sandy Cambridge Huntingdon Stevenage Milton Keynes. This happens when they are on winter maintenance 2 ( ie snow desk ) I will say be cautious at this stage as this has happened before and been downgraded.
