  1. Hi , teits temps earlier were 1c and dew point 0. Pressure started rising and temps have risen to 1.7 dew point 1. A few of the weather stations close by have temps at 1:0 clock at -1c yet meto have temps at 2c. Temps dropping around 7am to 1c but within an hour will rise 2c. Think what falls will be rain/ sleet. So not expecting anything white to fall.
  2. Hi, teits Do you think the few point will rise , as the showers pep up
  3. Light snow in Huntingdon, but not expecting anything not a great location in any setup.
  4. Think all of us on netweather are thinking of you especially those who have gone through something similar.
  5. Hi , all I think the area on the met o warning map which has a few of us confused where there a line from Scotland all the way to the South is where it will be icy it is squashed between two weather systems.
  6. A few flurries in Huntingdon but an area with no ppn was right over Huntingdon and Ramsey. So not expecting much due to location where ppn fizzles out.
  7. Blowing a gale with heavy downpours of rain and hailstones here.
  8. Hi, teits I believe Peterborough is the only place in East anglia issued with a meto warning for snow, I think anywhere else will either be dry or a little sleet.
  9. Hi, all Nice and sunny here, wind still going strong gusts of 92km/h. Dropped from 96km/h at 9 this morning.
  10. Hi 80s weather Think it's the windiest we have had this winter. I noticed last week the river was flooded there
  11. Hi mk. I live further up and across. I can say it's the worst I have heard the wind this winter. Thought only coastal regions would get winds like this but not so far inland.
  12. Hi piggie palace I have the same problem squall line crossed me and rain came in soaking the mat and flooring. In my case I forgot to put a towel down.
  13. I can understand dredging some rivers that are prone to flood with little amount of rainfall but it would not have made a difference with the onslaught that many have experienced this winter. We have had flooding and people have had to be evacuated. Every year I watch the great river Ouse burst it's banks flood the car park and flood into the ring road alone with other places in the area. No amount of dredging is going to make a difference. Yet people here are still calling for them to be dredged.
  14. Hi , jennyjane. You have quoted the same as our local cllr. The point of dredging will only help in normal wet conditions. Even if all rivers were dredged places would still flood due to the amount of rainfall these past couple of months.
  15. Lovely and sun here best make the most of it and get and tidy the garden back up. Weekly newspaper had me rather confused, 3 families had to evacuated due to flooding , yet although sand bags issued, our cllr Jason ablewhite district council leader is yet to be convinced that dredging the great river Ouse will prevent flooding. This is what he Quoted. . If you dredge a river right through it can help with normal rainfall ?
  16. Got up this morning feeling fine. Looked out the window and changed my mind. Yet another dreary day with big grey clouds and you guessed it more rain.
  17. Yes it's flooded don't think there will be much horsing around going on unless they wish for a bath. River has flooded. And fields the park is also flooded which runs along the ditch at the edge of town. Drove through the offords today and fields are flooded looked like a big river which of course there is not one. I have found it strange that meto have put out hardly any warnings since this drab weather started.
  18. Hi, Chris I'm only about 22 mls away from you and it's been rather windy all day but really picked up a little after 8pm. Some good forecasters on here that help learning the charts easier so a big thumbs up. to Jp and others. I have noticed TEITS has been missing from this forum this winter and must say miss his input for our location. Anyway thanks all for all your knowledgeable post.
  19. Yellow Warning of Rain for East of England Yellow Warning of Rain for East of England : Bedford, Central Bedfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Luton, Southend-on-Sea & Thurrock valid from 1900 Fri 07 Feb to 2345 Sat 08 Feb
  20. Not everywhere in east anglia has escaped this dreadful weather, I live in the west only 20 miles from Bedford and it's been awful. A rinse & repeat cycle. The river has burst its banks the foot path and the grass is under water not to mention the stream which is high walled and is never higher then a foot deep with water is at breaking point.
