I didn't see any moaning?!
The consistency of the naming system was being discussed, which was perfectly acceptable.
Might be me having a bad day but seemed like that with some.
Either way name or no name it looks pretty severe.

Some of these posts are pointless. Moaning about storm names and why one wasn't named. Then others passing off the risk of flooding as if it's normal for that part of the world.
Not being funny but storm name or not the projected rainfall totals for some parts, falling onto already saturated ground and rivers spells disaster to me.
This doesn't look normal to me at all in terms of standard impacts. In fact it's looking pretty dangerous for some.
For what it's worth I'm not fussed about a storm name or whether one is even named. I'd be more worried about the impacts of those forecasts - especially living in NE Scotland.
Last week saw land slips and bad flooding in Scotland and now more rain being dumped by this system? Stay safe everyone potentially affected.

I remember being in Spalding back in 1997 and the biggest storm I've ever seen hit around 11pm. Never to this day have I been in one with that longevity. It lasted until around 4am the following morning and was intense for most of the night. The start of my obsession with storms I was just 14 lol

Can hear incoming thunder now from the Darlington cell. Nice deep rumbles... not bad for here today, hit from the west and now possibly from the south. Can't complain!

Is that becoming super cellular or just a decent storm? It looks to be veering more right than north now which is usually a tell tale sign I'm told?

2 loud rumbles of thunder in South Oxfordshire. Don't know where it came from- we've had nothing but clag this morning
Hope for me then! Glad you're getting something.

Lots of clag developed here now and temps have dropped although still humid.
Storm to me west but think it'll hit Northumberland on current track rather than Tyne and Wear.

While the wind is creating some issues down south the rain up here is relentless once more. Localised surface flooding evident as the ground is just too saturated.
I can't remember a period in these parts with as much rainfall over a few week timescale.
Stay safe everyone in that strong wind zone.
