Well done Snowydog. If there were more folk like yourself the world would be a better place. We also collected groceries for our elderly neighbours. It was the very least we could do. My heart goes out to those farmers who have lost their livestock. I really hope they can be helped.

I've had my fill of snow fun, next time I hope the southern counties get their due share of enjoyment! Spent the entire day trying to dig out our driveway. Wish we had thought of it sooner as the snow had compacted into thick rigid rock solid ice!

Well I think the excitement is over but the snow is still lying! It's going to be fun trying to get anywhere in the next few days!!

Some nice pics there! Newtownabbey is crazy, I went outside and it was impossible to walk as the snow was up to my knees on the pavement. No cars on the roads at all. Also, there's a very icy wind which is adding greatly to the chill. Not a day for lingering outdoors! Also, have noticed some dripping! A partial thaw? It will take ages for all that snow to melt!

Just woke up and it's still snowing! I have never ever seen so much snow here!!! Our garden bench is completely covered, as are pot plants! Paths have disappeared, conifer trees are unrecognisable from the amount of snow! Here are some more pics, I hope the convey the incredible amount of snow we have.

Epic amounts of snow here. Even more than the famous snowfall of 2010! And it's not stopping.

Very heavy snow here, an accumulation of about 4 inches maybe more and snow does not seem to be easing!

Heavy precipitation here, sideways sleet...current outside temp is 0! Snowmageddon has begun!
