    lol I was about to post to say that it had calmed down recently then all hell let loose !

    Erskine bridge now closed to all traffic

    Certainly had a few good gusts in last 15 minutes - hear them coming well before they hit

    South lanarkshire have said on twitter that schools and nurseries are to be closed all day!

    South Lanarkshire Council making the decision sometime mid morning on whether to close schools early - according to their twitter.

    Nothing been mentioned here in South Lanarkshire yet - though off to parent's night in half an hour so will ask the headmaster - see if he even knows anything about it!

    It's the timing of this that I am concerned about too - don't want the kids walking home in this if it's as bad as forecast

    Just been out and measured snow on top of fence and currently at 5 inches

    And once again the main road out front is white.

    Couple of inches of snow here. Plough and then gritter just been along to clear road. Always pretty good here on main routes

    Looks more likely to be fizzling out before hitting here at the moment

    Woke up just after 5am and there's a very light layer of snow on the ground/grass.

    I'm guessing it's location is pretty sheltered. I tend to use Drumalbin for wind reports for EK as we are higher than Glasgow and more on a par with Drumalbin for height and exposure (and sit approx halfway between the two)

    Certainly seems to be picking up here somewhat.

    A lot calmer here than I expected at this time

    Plenty of thunder to our south and south west here.

    Thunder and lightning to our south west - 4 or 5 miles away I think.

    Shower that passed through here about half an hour ago flipped over trampolines etc. Wonder what tomorrow will bring :unsure:
