  1. Also a high of 27.3C here so far, although it's still currently that temperature so it could still slightly rise.
  2. I've been watching that develop. Congratulations! I wonder if anything will start firing up further south or if Liverpool will be as southern as things get.
  3. Looks like convection is really starting to fire up in the North West, with showers forming around Liverpool and heading north east into North Yorkshire and other north eastern areas. Whether any of these showers become thundery remains to be seen.
  4. 12z looking good for me. I'm not getting my hopes up yet though!
  5. I'm not sure which of two stations to believe. One station here has today's max at 26.4C but the other one says 27.2C. Which one should I believe?
  6. It looks like I have a decent chance for both days. When are we going to start seeing the storms today?
  7. Despite a lot of cloud, the sun's is still shining here and it's already 19.3C. I imagine it'll get to around 22C here for today, but tomorrow is when the fun starts.
  8. Hoping on an upgrade for me on the next run or I won't be happy.
  9. Loving the 18z, with us in the Midlands getting in on the action.
  10. Your neighbour from the east Derbyshire, or to be more detailed Chesterfield.
  11. That made me laugh out loud multiple times! Everything said is completely true as well!
  12. Sounds about right. The problem with classifying the regions though is that people will always disagree. Anyway, this would probably be fit for another thread, but I digress...
  13. Especially when they say North West! North West England, UK, etc... It gets confusing...
  14. I really do think someone should draw up a regions map for clarification on here. Any volunteers? Anyway, a warm weekend nailed on it seems. Monday still has very high storm potential for eastern and southeastern England, and quite a good chance for some areas of the midlands too.
  15. 12z so far looks a bit better for me. Sunday and Monday both have potential here.
  16. I, personally, am not expecting a lot from this event. Here in this part of the midlands it really doesn't seem that exciting. Oh, how I want the CAPE charts to look like yesterdays...
  17. Well, the GFS is complete rubbish on Tuesday apart from the far South East. I'd probably have an outside chance on Monday.
  18. I don't want to get too excited to avoid disappointment, but wow! Tuesday, although FI when it comes to convection is just a pure porn chart! I'd imagine that they'd start showing more closer to the time. From my experience GFS normally does this.
  19. This is off topic, but just to clarify, Stafford is DEFINITELY West Midlands. I like to use the official governmental regions as the definitions, seems accurate enough to me. http://www.picturesofengland.com/images/mapofengland/regions-uk.gif Anyway, looks good for Monday as is stands for South Eastern areas. Elsewhere, Sunday looks the best bet.
  20. Things certainly looking interesting at present, although I do know how things could change. I'm not really sure how I'd do if the current charts came off, seeing as I'm pretty much smack bang in the middle of the country. Fingers crossed, though.
  21. Certainly very nice here, some cloud around but the sun has broken it up. I'm on my phone so I can't check the maximum we've achieved so far, but I'd imagine it to be at around 20C.
  22. From my limited understanding, I think it's a similar set up. It's a day to keep an eye on the radar though.
  23. I'm not sure, I don't think Chesterfield likes thunderstorms that much. We've always been much more of a snow hotspot (ironic). Probably the kiss of death for this winter, then...
  24. Already some convection occurring in North Wales/Merseyside, heading into Cheshire. Always an encouraging sign. I think I have a moderate risk for today. Moving on though, as it stands, late next week is looking interesting, as Nick pointed out. At least in spells of weather like this when we don't get summer warmth, there's always convective opportunities for us to keep our eyes on.
  25. It looks like this thing has changed shape and direction and is no longer going to come here.
