  1. Snow increased again in density with large flakes
  2. Sno has increased in density. Not really heavy, but better than earlier.
  3. Just noticed that too Cfallon. I see some precip northish of us, but that's far away. Very odd. Only very light very sparse flurry so far.
  4. Starting to snow here. Hopefully it wont last and we can get those lovely mild temps that are forecast for next week and a good early start. Very good model runs this morning and last night for lovely mild temps.
  5. BT, you're the biggest cold & snow ramper is thread, and I feel you often hype up a situation and mislead people. I have not said winter is over or anything like that. I have stated that the models are showing a more mild outlook at this timne and hopefully an early spring. Leave the snow and cold till later in the year when evenings are darker and sun is weaker. Snow in late Feb bores me.
  6. Good news. Models continue to paint mild picture, and hopefully an early spring. Hopefully get a good winter come November/December of this year.
  7. I am done with wanting good nationwide snow. I am very happy to see spring come and get double digit day temps Hopefully the models will start to show that and get some plant life sprining up making nature that bit more nicer
  8. Walked past quite a few trees today and quite a lot of them had buds on. Bring on spring if all we're going to get is snow with foggy days. Quite looking forward to seeing bright green trees and grass again
  9. Rubbish day. Wanted to go to Cracken Edge, and even woke up at 6.20 am to get ready and set-off, but the fog looked very thick and met office website said fog all day, so gave up on that idea. Went up to Lyme Park instead and turned back as the fog was too thick. Some decent snow drifts on the walk up to Lyme Park around the back entrances.
  10. I live near Buxton, about 20 mins away or so. But still in excellent poition for snow, and yes got a few inches. Was hoping for a photography day up Chinley/Cracken EDdge as the views are brilliant, but would be wrecked by fog
  11. Why do you want it to end. People like myself and others who have snow have been delighted. Are you really that spiteful?
  12. Is this going to go off soon. Looking on radar and nothing coming out of Irish Sea. Was hoping this would last til midnight
  13. I live in Disley, so technically part of Macclesfield. Well we have a Macclesfield MP, lol. Great location and great snow now. If it was onmly like this in Manchester earlier today I bet Dovestone reservoir will look lovely in the morning.
  14. I am glad I am not working for vehicle recovery firm I use to work at. I wonder how Greenflag are doing with their contractors as they slimmed down due to the tender process.- I wonder if people are having long waits? Bad sight of the m60. I'd always avoid motorways in snow, it's just too risky in my view.
  15. coming into high lane now. left Manchester at five pm. home soon. yey lots of radar watching tonight. roads seem okay so far.
  16. waiting at bus station for bus home from Manchester. took a lot of photos so see what they are like later. couple of cm of snow in city centre. very mushy in the busy areas or near the warm shops. casefield looked good. no idea how Macclesfield area has done. hopefully more to come. f I can get home lol. bus delayed.
