    I was hopeful that maybe this time we would get snow but nope its raining and the temp has gone up. Even a met office rain warning now!

    Well a little surprisingly we actually have some heavy very wet snow falling at moment. 1.7C/1C

    Met office weather warning just been cancelled for us in the Aberdeen area and replaced with a rain warning for further north. Can't wait for two days of heavy rain!

    Weather station says -1.6C, dew point -2C and it’s raining!

    Oh boy it’s that time again, first lamp post watching evening of the season!

    My station is up to 65.3mm for the day which is quite incredible. I’m actually getting a little concerned if it stays this heavy all night. It seems to have accelerated since 7pm.

    My weather station has recorded 30.2mm of rain since half 6 and the front garden is totally flooded. Probably some of the heaviest rain I can ever remember.

    I’m sitting here a bit bewildered reading all the high temps as I consider whether I should put the heating on or not!

    Just sitting in my garden hearing the distant rumbles! Hopefully keeps heading this way.

    Wind seems too strong for these small showers. They seem to get blown through before they can have any impact. Not much change overnight but hope we will see more today.

    Took a trip up near Lochnagar yesterday, hopefully we all have drifts like this in our back garden next week!

    It almost always seems to be marginal affairs in recent times but I'm encouraged by the Met office warning update: "A further 2-5 cm of snow is likely away from immediate exposed coasts"

    Still snowing heavily in Dyce and it has covered everything now! I was surprised it started snowing instead of raining but looking at my weather station in Westhill, the temperature quickly dropped from 5C at 2 to 0.3C currently. Dew point is -1.6C.

    Well the snow managed to hang on pretty well today and now it's frozen solid. The roads have all frozen over as there hasn't been any gritting done so it was a pretty hairy drive home from work. The freezing fog has descended now but managed to get some good photos before it got dark.

    I got a weather station for Christmas but with the weather being so bad and B&Q being flooded I haven't been able to put the thing up! But from a station nearby they are reading a temp of 0C and a dew point of 0C.

    It's really starting to accumulate and the original forecast was for it to rain all night...
