    The rain has turned to light snow now, not lying yet. Could this be the beginning?

    This pic shows it reasonably well. Red dot is me. I'll admit it is starting to look a bit more sleety now.

    Could be the coast proximity? I am only 8 miles from the coast. It will definitely be snow 10 or so miles further inland.

    Well actually it has been raining here for a few hours but as a heavier burst is passing through currently it is snowing but I don't think it will last long until it returns to rain.

    Was heavy sleet here but it has now turned to snow and is starting to lie on the roads.

    Sadly all that has fallen has been rain and its been lashing against the windows at times.

    Completely surprised me but it seems to be moving through very quickly. That's some serious ppn just west of Ellon on the radar, massive dark red blob!

    Just got home to some lovely heavy snow!

    I think that is it here for now, just checked the depth since it has been snowing for most of the day and it is at 26 cm (just over 10 inches). A very nice 3 inches for the day which is totally unexpected as I don't think it was really forecast to give us much snow here today. EDIT: All that snow but only ever under a yellow warning from the met office!

    Very heavy snow shower here at the moment, complete whiteout!

    Some more snow overnight so there is now about an average of 7.5 inches lying around in the back garden.

    There are a few nice drifts around my house although it is not from any snow from today and certainly don't match anything down south.

    Ach, zilch round here all day Maybe the outlook will improve for us later?

    Netweather radar stuck at 22.25 as well...

    The radar is showing some very strange things for the front down south, seems to be glitching a bit.

    Why is there a complete lack of convection from the North Sea up our way?

    Guess I'm not part of the UK, 13 cm here. Most of that is from Monday though.

    It has been snowing here for the last hour fairly heavy at times, there was also some graupel and sleet at times as well. I would say about 2cm has accumulated overnight and so far today.
